Wow...and i thought I was the only one who noticed how great this place is! Imagine my surprise finding this thread....

Earl is AWESOME. Two years ago i stumbled into it looking for something "light". I had been by it many times on previous visits over the years but never fancied having a meal there. I think part of the reason was because i was put off as it reminded me too much of a mall food court/airport quick serv/ convient mart. The last place i wanted to eat whle on vacation was one of these as i see them almost daily where i work. So yeah, it was not appealing to me. On my 06' visit i arrived in town after a long flight starving. I did not want to waste a Day on my Park ticket for just 5 hours so headed over to DTD instead in the hopes of finding a meal. I was not up for table service really ( too hungry to wait!) so remembered The Earl when i walked by it. It was perfect for my needs of the moment, so i went in. I was a little confused as to how their system worked ( as far as ordering, etc.)...but i dove in head first and came up delighted in the end. It was probably one of THE best sandwichs i ever had...period.

I have been back twice since, and always get the Tuna Melt. It is absolutely to DIE FOR. Seriously, it takes a lot to get me excited about food....but this sandwich is FANTASTIC and utterly, totally, DELICIOUS!

I also like the selections they have availble, exspecially for when i am looking for light snacks and not a huge meal. The salads are GREAT too.....and the granola n' fruit topped yogurt cups. Awesome place to get a good decent meal and not break the bank.

The Earl has now become a tradition with me. Since that first experience, when i come back to WDW the first night i always hit DTD to grab a meal at The Earl. I find it to be a great way to warm myself up for the excitment to come in the following days. While most rush off to the Parks as soon as they drop their bags in the hotel room, i instead enjoy taking it easy and hanging out at DTD and The Earl's place. Riding the monrails a few times around the Parks is cool too...but i don't bother wasting a Day on my ticket for just a evening. Having that Tuna Melt at DTD is a nice way to spend my first night in town!

I love the Earl!
