Having never seen it in its glory days, I could only trust that it was something amazing given all of the devoted fans.

Start with @marni1971 's videos - http://www.martinsvids.net/?p=95

It had a great sherman brothers song... the ride itself was cute and not like other experiences you would have outside the pavilion.. and at the time the play area had really good interactive stations and some things that just you'd never forget.. like the massive pin tables.

The lobby was open and lead to the queue of the attraction... think much like the entrance to living with the land is... but more open, the glass ceiling, two level, lots of purple and HUGE murals.

You know it's not 10 years. SWL won't take until 2025. While I agree the number isn't what it should be- people who are forced to exaggerate to try to make a point end up not making a point at all and just look like exaggerators.

Considering that the OFFICIAL opening date is 2022-2023 for a land with a total of 2 attractions according to @WDW1974 a 2025 actual opening date is quite realistic. I grow more convinced that the BRAND advocates if served poop by Disney would insist it's chocolate mousse. It's just so delightful that where a much smaller and more focused WDP could take swampland and build the original EPCOT in under 3 years yet the mighty TWDC transnational behemoth can build 2 rides and some shops in a 2900'x2900' square (14 acres) in an official schedule of 7 years. Yup that's a high priority project.

So Disney designed and built Epcot in three years? There's that exaggeration to make a point again. And particularly a point that doesn't need exaggerated- yet you can't help yourself. That's why no one takes you seriously, amongst other reasons

I, too, wondered why Imagination was chosen over The Land. I had thought that the original Kraft lounge was larger. Moreover, the former executive space in The Land would not be a loss for guests.

When riding Living With The Land, if you look up at the Garden Grill, you can see a second level above it, a hallway with large glass walls.. Is that area for offices, old lounges or what?

This shows it will be in the upstairs. I do not know if it has been posted yet. I can't wait to visit the lounge when I am there in NOV.

Thanks for posting, but that link isn't working b/c i think the URL is blocked when you just paste it in. Can you use the link tool and embed it, or type out the main url in a way that we could find it, but the filter does not block it (like with spaces between the main words)

EPCOT took exactly 3 years from groundbreaking on 1 October 1979 to Opening Day on 1 October 1982 Look it up

i found a video of that lounge and I think the only way to access it is through an elevator which would be difficult for peak times. With this lounge, its a large staircase, so no need to worry about crowds backing up.

Can we place bets that all the lifestylers whining about how a former guest area has been handed over to the evil DVC will find their way in on day 1 and make it their new headquarters?

Where did Disney announce the opening date for SWL? It's only official if it comes from Disney. And where do you see the rumor from WDW1974 about it opening in 2022?

It's in one of the Spirited threads and i'm too lazy to search for the actual quote, What Spirit said was there will BE 2 count em 2 attractions in the new SWL and that was from his Christmas week postings. The date was from another poster as I recall.

Hasn't it been confirmed in documents to Anaheim authorities tha the DL SWL opens in 2019, therefore I would expect WDWs to open no more than a year after than?

We have always known there would be two rides in SWL, no new there. As for the date it's a rumor from a source you can't even produce, ok, got it.
