Dumb things you have done at WDW

Myself and my wife were on a tear going from ride to ride. HOwever, as a 34 year old male, I love WISHES. Well, wife wanted to get to Tomorrowland before we called it a night and convinced me to catch WISHES from the rear of the castle byu Phiharmagic. Well, needless to say, that is not at all the same show. I saw only the Fireworks from the top if the castle. Not a great idea.

Then, a torrential downpour started a few days later while we were in tomorrowland so me and my genius, grabs the wife and son to get on TTA and AVOID the thundertorm by riding. Well, TTA broke down while we were outside and we had to be escorted off the irde with lightning crackling everywhere. However, not before we were drenched worse than ever in our lives. I love Disney, but man can I be an idiot sometimes while I am there. I chalk it up to childlike enthusiasm. Yeah, that's it.:p

I cried in front of a giant crowd of like 100 or more people before being taken out of the room before the theater on MPM when I was like 9 or 10 because ITTBB scared me when I was little so I was traumatized of 3-D movies (I like them now though). I mean this was a melt down and my mom was mad at me almost the rest of the day, I mean mad!

Left my digital camera in my DS's stroller while we took him on Goofy's Barnstormer, and when we got off... Well, the camera was gone!!! I still kick myself for doing that!!! Mainly because I have NO pictures from that vacation

We're telling...lol

Mine would have to be continuing to eat a sketchy hamburger after I established the fact that it was weird and proceed to ride Star Tours on an unusually hot day for January.
Luckily, more like by the work of a miracle, I didn't throw up although I thought I was going to the whole time :hurl:
We had to go back to the room and I felt like I ruined the afternoon.

No such thing as a "sketchy" burger...they are all good!!! You were leaving out the part about being all hungover... ;)

p.s. Let's Go Yankees!!!

Following a sea turtle in The Seas and flipped face first over the railings. Everyone (including the wife and kids) were laughing their heads off. I ended up laughing too but after I had walked off the shame. :lookaroun

On my senior trip in 2003, a friend and I went to ride the Haunted Mansion. We were very giggly, and needless to say annoying.

One of the Cast Members saw this as a perfect opportunity to really get into character, so he followed us around the room that has "no windows and no doors." When they lights came back on he was right in my face! I screamed like I was in a horror movie and ran for the door! He chased us all the way to our Doombuggy!

Long story short....don't taunt the Haunted Mansion Cast Members. They will get you back.

On second thought...taunt them....and you'll have an awesome memory!

I ran into Keystone Clothiers at DHS one day when it was raining. As soon as I stepped on the floor, my feet came out from under me. Next thing I know, I am on my back looking up at the ceiling.

Never had the slipping moment happen to me, but dumbest was keeping my black EPCOT hat on.
On Test Track. With pins. A year and a half ago.
Worse is that to this day, it hasn't been found.
I believed it landed somewhere in the trees as the car finished the first loop and BUMPED on the straight road!
Fortunately, I was able to find another replacement and the same pins. I do wonder, though, if it's still in that tree???

In the early 80's during my first trip we stayed at the Hilton. We were starving after a flight (the peanuts did not suffice) and room service assured us that the sold "Personal" sized pizzas and that they were small.

My dad ordered 10.

Well, not sure what was lost in translation but 10 extra large pies arrived at our door.

We knocked on doors and asked if anyone would like pizza.

There were only a few takers.

Another I remember,
At Mermaid Lagoon (former site of 20,000 leagues) I was trying to take a picture of the Triton statue coming out of the water. Just as I am about to snap the picture, what seems like a gallon of water shoots directly into the side of my face and my ear. I look over at my wife and see her falling over laughing at me. Apparently, she saw the leap frogging fountains there and I did not. Being the wonderful wife she is, rather than tell me, as she saw the leapfrogging fountains leaping in my direction, she sat there and waited for the "magic." Well, she got her magical experience and I got a wet, right side of the head. I also enjoyed a real good laugh. That is a great memory, albeit funny......:ROFLOL:

Talked to much on my first day....completely lost my voice. I have weak vocal chords - I lose my voice all the time. I wasn't sick, but for the next 2 days I sounded so sick. Every face character that tried to interact with me for pictures looked grossed out by me if I tried to talk back to them (which I don't blame them for - hey, swine flu was going around!) It was just seriously embarrassing though!

I'm still so ashamed of this, but 2 years ago my father and I really got into it in the middle of fantasyland, He was yelling and screaming - had too much to drink and me being me, I snapped back at him and used way too many curse words than the kids around me were prepared for. I quickly ran off til I made it to the Main street shops, and spent the guilt out of me. :dazzle:

I went on many family vacations to WDW in the 90s when I was in elementary school. While we were in Magic Kingdom they were updating Tomorrowland and we were walking through a path of walls where they were renovating that land. My parents didn't notice but I saw a guy in a blue lab coat with his back to the general walkway and he was standing on something looking over the top of a fence and speaking.

I immediately knew who this was (he was at peak popularity at the time) and shouted, "Mom.. Dad LOOK! It's Bill Nye the Science GUY!!" He turned around, waved, and then we could see in a break in a fence there was a camera crew on the other side filming a take with him. Most people didn't notice it was him, but I saw his signature outfit. I remember him kind of smiling and saying, "We'll have to do that again" seeming somewhat annoyed. Ha ha.. whooops. :ROFLOL:

Nothing like these have happend to me...but my DW took a wrong turn on the way to MGM a few years back...

I love the thrill rides...the wife does not. So for me to get my fix I went to the EMH morning at MGM, and left the wife sleeping in at the CR, (with a cup of coffee waiting for her). Got there and enjoyed ToT, RRC, and Star Tours a couple times each. DW was going to meet me at the crossroads at about 9 AM. Well 9 comes and goes...10 comes and goes...starting to get worried now...and then here she comes...looking quite annoyed.

Well she got out of the hotel no problem. Waited for the MGM bus, which was full, probably due to EMH. Then she remembered the friendship boat that rund between Epcot and MGM, so she hopped on the Epcot bus.

She got to Epcot, walked through to the entrance of world showcase and was told that it is closed until 11 and they wouldn't let her through to the boats...Well now she is quite annoyed. Walked out of Epcot...had to catch another bus to someplace...not sure if she just got a bus to MGM from Epcot. But she swore up and down about how she hated the Disney busses.

From this trip forward...she had her cell phone and I had my cell phone so we can 'find' each other.
