Oh, so that's why they cut down on the water pressure in the parks ![Stick Out Tongue :P :P](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f61b.png)

He's an idiot if he actually tries to. All his opponents will have to do is reveal that he tried to sell Disneyland and he's toast.
Call my cynical, but I doubt that Disney is doing this out of the goodness of their corporate heart. What benefit does Disney get from this?
While it may look good in theory, I cannot see too many of the shareholders pleased by this decision.
Probably Bob Iger's boldest move yet

Because the term Obamacare is politically charged. Not sure why the the thread title was changed. I was merely using the same headline as the article and most people refer to the law as Obamacare wether they were for it or against it. It was not intented to be disrespectful or to insight people.
I'm also looking forward to proving the naysayers wrong. Hopefully this thread stays open while it runs it's course.
It was originally posted by Bloomberg, or are they not real enough for you?The source of this article (Thinkprogress.org) is to the ACA (and progressive programs in general) as the mommy bloggers are to WDW. Making 427 employees (out of 67,000) full time to get full health benefits is like adding a new bathroom in one of the parks. It' s a not a bad thing, but it certainly doesn't warrant any type of press coverage. That's why this "news" wasn't covered by the "real" press, although I'm sure some places will pick this up as what it basically is - a press release. Kind of like the "real" press writing about WDW by taking stuff from park centric blogs.
Actually the byline for http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/10/02/2716951/disney-world-obamacare-promote-full-time/ was posted before the Bloomberg article. It was originally posted by Bloomberg, or are they not real enough for you?
Read the first paragraph of the Think Progress article, it quotes the Bloomberg article as its source...Actually the byline for http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/10/02/2716951/disney-world-obamacare-promote-full-time/ was posted before the Bloomberg article.
Avoid getting political. You're innuendos are not lost on most, and this can become ugly very quickly.I read the embedded article and saw the thinkprogress link and didn't go further. But thanks for pointing out the link to Bloomberg. Hopefully everyone will read the Bloomberg article as it is a true news report vs a cheerleading effort from an organization with a known agenda.
The Bloomberg story provides context and comparison that is completely absent from the embedded thinkprogress story. That bolsters my mommy blogger point so thanks for the tip.
Rhetoric. He shopped the idea around. If you don't want to call that "trying to sell" that's fine, but don't ignore that there was progressive activity in that direction.Except that he didn't

Your assertions are frustrating me, but, I won't respond because I respect WDWMAGIC's policies to keep politics out of these forums.
You know what really es me off? I work diligently every single day in regards to my health! I lift weights 3-5 days a week, practice martial arts, and watch everything I eat. Then I log in for my daily Disney updates on this site and every single thread that you post in makes me want to immediately go eat pizza!I promise to tread lightly.......I think it was a case of these workers were hired as PT but worked over the 30 hr limit most of the time. As said 427 workers is an extremely low percentage of workers. As also mentioned here there will be workers whos hours will be cut to meet that 30 hr limit but I don't think you will see any article being written about that.
