Ummm... yeah, MK was a clone of DL. But EPCOT turned out very different than what Walt had envisioned, and Walt had nothing to do with DAK or DHS.Walt Disney World were visions of Walt

How is WDW a version of Walt Disney, but the others aren’t? He died prior to the beginning of construction.Disneyland and Walt Disney World were visions of Walt---- all the other parks were conceived by corporate suites and bean counters.
Yup, they've done it quite often even with the word Walt in it. There are many tails of people buying tickets and making reservations for the wrong side of the continent. Hell there is still a bunch that don't know that Epcot is part of WDW.Are you saying that without the “Walt”, non-fans would confuse the Florida resort with Disneyland?
All of which shows that the presence of “Walt” has done nothing to stop the confusion. I doubt taking it away would make much difference.Yup, they've done it quite often even with the word Walt in it. It did clarify which one was which though and there is still a lot of confusion with Walt in the name, image what might happen without it. I'm not talking about thousands of people, just a few but dropping it wouldn't help that situation. All of which shows that the presence of “Walt” has done nothing to stop the confusion. (To be clear, I’m not arguing in favour of changing the name.)
Wasting … i mean spending a ton more redoing Splash & gonna see no real ROI there either considering how popular yhe current ride is….
Maybe a sign. It would take them 15yrs to build a new theme park at the pace they moveEpic Disney World. Coming May 2025.
Oof, Disney struggles enough with basic maintenance of their existing parks. Throw in a new one and it'll be a hell hole.Maybe a sign. It would take them 15yrs to build a new theme park at the pace they move
I thought they were just renaming the existing resort.Maybe a sign. It would take them 15yrs to build a new theme park at the pace they move
I imagine TWDC will commission Pink Floyd to write the sequel to their epic rock opera, and call it The Walt. There’s a reason the term “Walties” exists within the company. Hint, it’s not a term of endearment.
Which is why IMO is not a smart idea putting a statue of him in a place that isn't what he invisioned...There better be a small plaque at the bottom stating "Where's My City?"I don't think the current state of WDW embodies what would have been Walt's vision, independent of the obvious EPCOT differences.
To be fair, Walt's vision for Epcot was unworkable. I'm glad we got a theme park rather than a city.Which is why IMO is not a smart idea putting a statue of him in a place that isn't what he invisioned...There better be a small plaque at the bottom stating "Where's My City?"
Still pointless to have a statue of him in it..To be fair, Walt's vision for Epcot was unworkable. I'm glad we got a theme park rather than a city.
Why, though? I thought people wanted the company to celebrate him?Still pointless to have a statue of him in it..
Yeah, but not for a place that wasn't meant to be a park...Why, though? I thought people wanted the company to celebrate him?
I agree. This statue is weird, given his dream never came to fruition. What exactly is he looking at?Which is why IMO is not a smart idea putting a statue of him in a place that isn't what he invisioned...There better be a small plaque at the bottom stating "Where's My City?"
