We have not been to Disney in two years but I remember reading about a new way to get there from the TurnPike. Does anyone know what I am talking about? My question is, how do you like going that way and does it save any time. Also, where does it come in to the Disney property at? Also, how much are the tolls? I can't remember. :)

I think your are referring to the 429. What you will want to do get off the Turnpike at exit 267 and get on the 429 South. There is no toll to get on the 429 from the Turnpike. Take 429 South to Exit 8 for Western Way. You will have one mainline toll on the 429, which is $1.25. There is no toll to exit at Western Way. Western Way will bring you onto the western part of Disney Property and dump you out onto Buena Vista Drive by Coronado.

I can tell you that there is never any traffic on the 429, so that should not be an issue. It should also be a little faster than staying on the Turnpike to I-4. Anytime you can avoid I-4, its beneficial.

I've been this way twice and highly recommend it. At one point the roadway goes up a slight hill and off to your left you can see the Contemporary. Very neat.

One word of caution though, watch your speed. :lookaroun

Thank you for the heads up.:animwink:

Now we will still go under the famous Walt Disney World sign, right?

Yes, you will still go under the sign.
IMHO, it is only a time saver if you will be traveling I4 during peak hours. If you are staying on the DTD side of the property, I4 is a bit faster (during non peak driving hours).
