Drive-In Miniature Golf Pictures

Mini golf locations are typically stand-alone and not a stone's throw from so many adult beverage service locations. I hope that we don't see "drunk golf" in the evenings, which is when this place is sure to really light up and attract some decent crowds.

Oh, we will. In fact, I've heard folks will be able to bring their drinks onto the courses with them. I can't verify.

By then I would imagine the kiddies will be all tucked into bed, safe and sound dreaming of pixie dust and sugar plums... and groping the Disney characters the next day.... But that doesn't mean the adults who are drunk (and we know some adults cannot hold their liquor very well and become very obnoxious when feeling good) won't cause a headache...

That's exactly what I'm hoping doesn't happen. Since the place will apparently be open until 2 AM, the likelihood seems rather obvious. I wouldn't mind playing late at night, but I also don't want to feel like I'm in the backyard of a frat house.

I can. The manager confirmed that alcohol purchased from other Citywalk venues will be allowed onto the course. The course itself will only sell water and soda.

I don't see this lasting too long...

As it was explained to me, everything, from the drinking rules to the hours to the reservation/queuing system, is subject to change. They're going to be flexible the first few months, seeing what works and what doesn't. If there are recurrent problems I imagine the policy will be changed. The managers are very aware of the types of problems drunks can cause - they've been to HHN, they've had issues there, the whole nine yards and whatnot.

Been reading reviews and looking at pictures of the now complete and open mini golf course and WOW... I can't wait to try this out when I visit next!!! Kudos Universal, you have done it again... (so what if it is only mini golf, it's still an awesome course!!!)

I was impressed last weeked by Ghostly Greens; I was blown away Thursday night by Planet Putt--definitely better to play that one after dark. Manages to tell a story better than many theme park attractions built in the last decade. Love the humor, love the background music (anyone have a track listing yet?), and a challanging 18 holes of mini golf.

While paying, I glanced down and noticed the attendants have a sheet to keep track of everyone who walks up, asks "how much?", then walks away. Looked like 30 - 40 marks a day, so expect a bit of an adjustment in price, particularly during the day when the courses looked empty.

I'm going to check it out this weekend, although I think it sucks pretty hard that the AP discount is only 10%, I guess I'm just spoiled with Disney's 50% discount on their Mini Golf.

Having gotten the chance to play The Haunting of Ghostly Greens last night, I believe Hollywood Drive-In Golf is a worthy addition to CityWalk's lineup of attractions and nightlife.

Ghostly Greens may not have the most interesting terrain of any mini-golf course in Orlando, but it does include many entertaining sight gags, puns and a wonderfully corny playlist.

While the layout itself is fairly basic, the holes can actually be surprisingly difficult. I'm no mini-golf expert, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I'm sure it will provide a fair challenge for those seeking one. Highlights include a ball-eating python, a trip through a forest of evil trees with a twist, and the maniacal finale within a mad scientist's laboratory.

Did I mention how great the courses look at night? The entire area is aglow with bright LEDs and other lighting effects, which really beautifies what could have easily been an eye sore and makes for a very lively playthrough. The new attraction, and this entire end of CityWalk, take on a whole new character when the sun goes down.

Hollywood Drive-In Golf is open now, so go check it out.
