Just digging around on the ole internet and spotted some new rumors....

New fireworks show...A Davison production called "Dreams Come Alive"...working title
A MSEP rebuild requiring Festival of Fantasy to be performed twice daily

Also mentioned was the Christmas garland that hangs over Main Street during Christmas would have to be reconfigured or removed due to the massive heights of the new parade units....I was assuming they meant for FoF, but maybe new MSEP floats too.

I just read that rumor as well. When the person talked about the Christmas garland being removed or reconfigured, that person was talking about the FoF floats height, NOT the MSEP floats. That person just said MSEP floats or "units", as I prefer to call them, would only be going through an extensive refurbishment. It was stated here in the FoF thread that 26 floats/units will make up the Festival of Fantasy parade. Said the fireworks show would debut by the 2016 holiday season.

Edit: Piece of the rumor: <<"Shifting towards MK entertainment, Festival of Fantasy from what I've been told will have 2 performances each day once it debuts until MSEP is ready to go after an extensive maintenance refurbishment of the floats. The [decorations] that hang over Main Street USA [during the holiday season] will have to be taken down or reconfigured due to the large height of these new floats (26 units to be exact). ">>

I honestly wouldn't mind a remake of MSEP that is updated to reflect all the movies that have been made since Pete's Dragon. lol. I think the music should still reflect the same hoedown, but more of a tie in to the float's theme like Dream Lights.

All very exciting...

Hopefully there is something in the works to replace Jammin' Jungle @ DAK... would be a shame to watch more removal of offerings at a park that needs just the opposite. DAK is extraordinarily themed, and deserves offerings that will open up the eyes of all guests

Sounds interesting....it will be interesting to see what is revealed when the time comes.
A new pyro show for MK would be a nice addition. 'Wishes' has had a long run, and with the new projection tech out there these days i would say a new show is about due.

The new day parade look promising...glad to hear MSEP may well finally be getting a extensive rehab/redo.

It seems as if (according to rumor) all savings from the removed parades at DAK and DHS, would be directed to the new parades and fireworks at MK. Personally, I don't miss the parade at DHS and MJJP at DAK is a bit long in the tooth....especially since they've removed the "real" drummers and substituted regular performers who didn't seem to know how to even fake it, on the drums. I loved MJJS when it premiered in 2001, but I'd rather have the $'s spent on something a bit more spectacular, even if it is at another park.

thanks for posting this info you got from http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/2013/05/disney-rumors-new-fireworks-show-one.html

"Since we're talking about AK, I'd figure I'll drop some entertainment news in here. I've just been informed by a source who's closely associated with the Entertainment Management department at WDW that Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade will be shut down and terminated by the end of this October. As you all are familiar, Eeyore is no longer greeting guests at AK anymore as the long line of eliminating characters there continues. In terms of Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade, expect this to only be shown on weekends during the holiday season with one performance each day.
[...] Slighest of slight possibility that Jingle Jungle comes out on holiday weekends. Again the big picture here is that TDO [
Team Disney Orlando, the people behind most of the decisions made for the Walt Disney World parks
]/George Kalogridis wants to allocate these financial resources toward Festival of Fantasy Day parade and Dreams come Alive fireworks spectacle for the MK. The other parks will have live/street entertainment similar to what New Fantasyland is offering. What I can say is that these new MK entertainment additions are going to be incredible and mind blowing."
But that's not all! In fact, that same Reader also said that a new fireworks show is being developed for the Magic Kingdom Park as we speak, despite multiple sources (like Martin on WDWMagic) stated that "Wishes" can still be considered "safe" for the time being. Here you are the complete rumor our Reader shared with us:
"Shifting towards MK entertainment, Festival of Fantasy from what I've been told will have 2 performances each day once it debuts until MSEP is ready to go after an extensive maintenance refurbishment of the floats. The [decorations] that hang over Main Street USA [during the holiday season] will have to be taken down or reconfigured due to the large height of these new floats (26 units to be exact). For MK fireworks, by holiday season/Thanksgiving of 2016 (MK's 45th anniversary), we will see a new fireworks spectacle take the high sky above Cinderella castle. Working blue sky title right now is "Dreams come Alive". Both of these projects will be headed by Steve Davison and his crew as he has stated on his facebook page periodically that he's dying to work some magic on a couple projects in WDW. So if you're complaining or upset about all the cutbacks in entertainment for the other parks (mainly DHS and AK), fear not as WDW/TDO are putting all their financial resources/marbles into these new MK projects and I guarantee you these new offerings will not disappoint. So long for now."

While I like the idea of updating and improving the show offerings at the MK, I am disappointed that it seemingly comes at the cost of having parades at two other parks. Especially when those parks are considered to be the weakest in terms of the total amount of offerings and being "half day parks".

So they are supposedly willing to spend the money to refurbish the MSEP right after they declined to spend the money to repair SpectroMagic? Seems odd to me, why scrap one parade (over the cost to refurbish) you were otherwise planning to bring back just to turn around and spend the money to rebuild another?
