Dreamfinder's Return?

One Little Spark...
Disney does seem to hint to it being a possibility. Such as the Tommorowland movie a possible revamp for Tommorowland, the Star Wars movie a possible expansion for Star Wars etc etc. I can only hope that the comics and the D23 meetings were their hints to a return of Dreamfinder.
If it takes a movie to get it going, I'm fine with that too. Base it off the comics even, I don't care!

Heck, they could make it as bad as Haunted Mansion, and I wouldn't care, as long as they bring the ride in it's truer form back! (screw up the ride, and I'll care!)

Do I think Disney has acknowledged the nostalgia factor for Dreamfinder? Sure. That's why you see him on merchandise sometimes.

Do I think that means he's coming back to the attraction? Unfortunately, I would have to say there's little to no chance IMO. He isn't tied to a movie. He isn't a character that anyone, especially children at this point since the original ride has been gone for 17 years, recognizes outside of those who were fans of the original attraction. The point is I don't see them spending the money to put a relatively "obscure" character back into the attraction.

Now I think that if they did it, the response would be good, but I think anything that's non-movie based is a risk they seem unwilling to take.

If we do see the attraction overhauled, which I assume will happen eventually although the rumors have been swirling for years, I would say the most we will see is perhaps a small cameo, if that -- maybe just a reference like the office door now.

So, we're more likely to see Figment team up with Bing Bong (the goofy elephant voiced by Richard Kind from "Inside Out"?

Behind the plain-jane, rather unimaginative steel door.

Pathetic.

Wow, is it just me or does that remind you more a prisoner door or psychiatric room door where they keep Dreamfinder locked up. Which makes sense really.

The return of Dreamfinder would be such an amazing blessing and return to all that was good of Journey into Imagination. The original ride really showcased and promoted to all ages how important and fun the imagination is. Hence the name. The current ride just seems so blah and more like an episode of Seasame Street promoting what your five senses are and how we can use them. It almost seems like it's catering to kids but treating kids like they are moronic. And just my opinion, but as much as I like Eric Idle, he can't carry Dreamfinders dream bag.

I see it more to the episode of Spongebob with The Box..

They need to make a parade for the park's 40th or 50th Anniversary in the future. But with sections dedicated to countries found in World Showcase and includes Disney characters interesting what country that live in. Such as Pinocchio and Gepetto for italy

During his speech upon accepting his Disney Legend honor at the D23 Con in 2013, Tony Baxter, in front of thousands of Disney fans and corporate folks, asked Bob Iger directly on stage when Dreamfinder was coming back.
The crowd went nuts...even more so then they did when Dreamfinder himself took the stage with little Figment.

In the delight of the moment, i do not recall what Bob*s answer was....if any.
;)
Is there a video of that moment?

This rocks. I love it so much. I feel like this is a huge hint that a second Figment comic series is coming. But man...the merchandising opportunities these characters could have....please make it so!
