Dreamfinder on South Park!

okay... i'm sitting here watching a Dreamfinder-esque character on South Park singing a song called "Imagination" in something he calls his Imagination Balloon.

The episode is called Imaginationland. You guys gotta watch it. Of course, you gotta understand that it *is* South Park and not very family friendly. Imaginationland gets attacked by terrorists... but the Journey Into Imagination tribute is priceless!

omg.. i was laughing SOOO hard! My dad and i just looked at eachother and were like DREAMFINDER!!! i really thought it was quite hilarious!

Haha I saw it with two friends who have been to WDW, but recently and don't know anything about the attraction or old-skool EPCOT. I didn't want to say anything at first because they'd think I'm nuts, so I said "..is that... Willy Wonka?" Then he said something about Imagination and I said "Oh god, it's the Dreamfinder." And they did think I'm nuts.

Then I rushed home to see if there was a thread on it :wave:

I just saw the episode awhile ago, and it's on again right now. But I thought the episode was wonderful...plus it's a trilogy! So, there's going to be more of him. Trey is a huge Disney fan. In fact, last year he took his wife to WDW for their honeymoon.

At first I thought he was supposed to be Willy Wonka and then gradually I realized that it was supposed to be Dreamfinder. It's so weird to see Dreamfinder of all things referenced in a South Park Episode of all places...

they're always dropping in disney-parks related stuff. when Cartman bought his own themepark, there was a great haunted mansion doom-buggie nod and a visual of the matterhorn.

I said to DH, I can't help but think they're poking fun at the old Inagination ride (DH never rode the old version). Then when they started singing I knew I was right.

I'm such a loser that I did end up staying awake until midnight to see the replay. I was surprised that they took the reference so far, they really had everything. I don't think many people will pick up on it though, looking at some South Park forums they all thought it was just some crazy creation from Trey and Matt.

I think this is cool....nice little nod to Classic EPCOT....even though it IS South Park!
