Dream Squad hires some of the coolest cast members around . . .

One day, every member of member of my family was given a lanyard with pins just for being at the right place at the right time. Of course, we had to endure a home safety demonstration, but it was fun. Doesn't that just sound like an EPCOTy/futureworldy thing to do anyway?

The only experience I ever had was in Epcot on the bridge that connects the Odyessey and everything else and Dream Squad was there handing out the yoamd Mickey ears! I was so excited! :D

In December we were getting on the Buzz Lightyear ride at MK and a Dream Squad member was handing out Dream Fastpasses. We were psyched. Wish I could have talked to her more but the line was moving to fast.

My kids and I were in EPCOT for the princess breakfast, and wanted to do a number of other things that day, including get over to MK. We did what we had to do in EPCOT and were walking out though FW, when my oldest asked to ride TT. We agreed that if the line was not to bad, we would ride it. We got there are there was a 70 minute wait, and the fastpass return was 2 hours later, so we started to walk away. A Dream Squad CM saw us go up to the line and then walk away. He asked us why we were not riding and we explained that we wanted to get over to the MK and do a number of things over there that day. He then said, well what if you had fastpasses for TT, would that help. I said sure, and he said "let's go"

He did not give us FP's, he got on the FP line with us. When CM's asked for our FP's he just said "they don't need one, they are with me". We went though the line with him, and then he rode with us. A very nice person, and loads of fun to talk to.

We talked about how he because a Dream Squad member, and he told us the whole recommendation and interview process. He was very proud of the fact he made the Squad. He said it was the best job ever, two days a week he hands out programmed prizes, and the other three days his job is to "walk around and make people happy"

I remember the first day we were in the parks last summer, we decided to gradually make our way back to Peter Pan via getting ears embroidered, picking up fps for space mountain, and making it on to the first ride on the tea cups for the day (Alice and the Mad Hatter were right next to our tea cup!)....my friend I was visiting with didn't really want to wait in a half hour line, but it only ended up being 15 minutes anyway. As soon as we hopped off Peter Pan, there was the dream squad handing out dream FPs for the day-- we felt like royalty! :king:

I was at EPCOT with a group of my girlfriends from school. We were exiting the Land and I saw a Custodial Cast Member with a pin trading lanyard on [they usually have the best pins,] so I went up and traded with him. He was standing next to a Dream Squad Cast Member and when we were done trading with him, the Dream Squad Cast Member starting asking us about the attractions over at the Seas. She asked if we had gotten to see Crush yet to which we all replied no. So she said "Come on, let's go see him."

She escorted us straight to the front of the line at Turtle Talk with Crush and when we were done with that she took us on the Seas with Nemo and Friends. I had never seen Turtle Talk with Crush and although I am not a huge fan of the Seas it was still an amazing and unforgettable experience!

One time I was in line for the GMR, when a group of about 20 people (including me) were chosen to be given prizes.

And everyone's like "YES! We got Dream Fastpasses! YES! This is awesome! No lines for the rest of the day! YES!" :sohappy:

And then they told us we had a reserved viewing area for the parade.

And everyone (but me) looked at each other like "What the...".

I think only two other families came to the parade viewing. I thought it was great though, because we got free soda and got to sit in the shade and watch BPB. :)

BTW, I've also won lanyards and pins twice.

This is kind of off, but my sister won soemthing, but from an average cast memember.

Shes younger and was asked to start the phohaantes show by hitting a drum and stuff. And she got a year of a million dreams card for participating, but the staff member wasnt a dreams staff member. And it was obvious becuase she didnt even know how to spel congradulations.

(either do i but still.)

How cool would it be to be on the Dream Squad? I'd love that!! Spending days making others happy, being in WDW...now that's what I call a dream job!!

We have never won anything in the parks. Maybe this year!!;)

When I was at WDW over spring break this year my DS, his 3 friends and I were getting on TOT. We were in the library and after the pre-show they turned on the lights and the Dream Squad person introduced herself and told us we were all winning YOMD ears. Not my first choice of prize, but cool to win and my DS and his friends have a neat memory.

we had stopped to take a break outside of Pecos Bill's and at that time, Woody and Jesse and Bullseye were walking by .....this lady came up and started talking to my dad who was sitting in his wheelchair and asked where we were from.....she was a member of the Dream Team, but she didn't give us anything.....we didnt think anything about it until she walked off and then we realized who she was! kinda made us sad that she didnt offer anything, but then again, we were at Disney so it didnt really matter in the end! THIS IS THE MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH!!! regardless of whether or not we got anything....can't wait to go back this December.

Last summer, not only did we receive Dream Fastpasses when getting off of Space Mountain one morning, but two days later a Dream Squad member gave my family and I a personal tour of MGM, the in's and out's and everything. It was definitely very cool have a personal tour, with lunch (on the Dream Squad's ticket) and we were brought in through the "back door" of rides, and were able to get on all of them with him with no wait. It was awesomely cool feeling like a famous person getting the "red carpet treatment."

We'll never forget our day spent with our special Dream Squad member, he'll always hold a place in our memories and hearts :)

Last August, we had just gotten our wristbands for EMH at DHS at the distribution point near the entrance to the RnR pavillion. (We had been riding ToT.) The Stand By line was like...90 minutes. It seems like there were FastPass return times posted, but they were way late. As we were discussing the bleakness of the prospects, a young man began talking to us. Something like:

"You guys ridden RnR before?"
"Yeah."
"Bummer waitin' in line when it is this long, huh?"
"Oh yeah."
"Not when your with me, come on!"
"Are you one of the Dream Squad?"
"Sure am!"
"Cool!"
"Do you like your job?"
"Love it."

He procedes to lead us in through the back door straight to the front of the line, and tells the "assignor" to put us up front. It was awesome! We were pretty excited for the rest of the night.

Not exactly the Dream Squad, but last Saturday we were at the Studios for the TSM AP Preview. We were at the information kiosk/pin station right near the entrance looking for TSM pins (I know, we should have looked at the Hat...) when we were approached by a CM who talked to us for a couple of minutes, asked where we were from, that sort of thing. Then she asked if we wanted to meet some of her friends. First, I asked who, and she said that she did not know, but we all thought it would be fun, so we went with her. She took us into Guest Relations, and into room...where Stich was trying to 'escape', and Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Daisy were there, too! Just the five of us - wife and I, kids, and my Mom. We had a blast meeting, playing, and taking pictures.

Nothing tangible, but the memories will last...which is the point, isn't it?!?
