Would you mind explaining why? The signs in the corner say "Safari Village" and "Discovery River"

MK (Adventureland)? :lookaroun
Disney Seas?

*shrug*

I never got to ride the boat ride either...I hope it comes back and as the crowds increase at AK...I think it will.

I still wonder what they're going to do with Camp Minnie Mickey....

Would have been awesome if they made the dragon. I remember I went to the Excalibur in Las Vegas cause I heard about the dragon in the moat, and they took it out! :( I was bummed.

does anyone have any pics of these dragon things,or these boat trips.
and also when was there boat rides in AK and when did they stop doing them,i when to "the world" the year the year before and the year after AK opened ,i would have loved to go on them.

The boats are the same as the ones used now for characters and bands that cruise through the water on the Asia side.

You can still see the dragon cave and a stegosaurus formation from the bridge going to FotLK and Camp Mini Mickey. The Stego is closest, on the left bank. The dragon cave is further up on the same side, you can see some char from the long extinguished flames.

The boad ride as I remember was very boring as the displays along the course were never properly realized. We went on it one time when we wanted to do Kali, because the entrance was right next to it. I can probably post some pictures later.

I remember the boat ride from my first time at DAK, but don't remember the dragon cave. It's been years since it's been open as an attraction. I hope they do re-open it. I think that rides like that are a nice break from the hustle-bustle of running around the park. It would be a good thing to do while you wait for your Fastpass to EE to become valid. :)

Also, great views of Tree of Life.

Originally, the boat ride would have been really nice, if not for all the budget cuts. There was originally 9 different scenes.

You started out at the Safari Village boat dock, went under the Genesis Gardens (now the Oasis) bridge, saw the Unicorn, then under the Camp Minnie -Mickey bridge, go by the Dragon's cave, then under the CM bridge, then the African Geyers and Animal Pastures, under the Africa bridge, then the Africa Village boat dock, under the Asia bridge, go by Monkey Island, then Asian Deer Meadows, then by the Aquanimals, under the Dinoland bridge, go by the River Iguanadon, and back to the Safari Village boat dock.

Sounds good, and they could probably still do it (probably won't though). It would be an easy, quick addition.
