Dr. Who at Epcot

OT, but on my last trip when I went into the Beatles-themed shop in the UK pavilion for the first time, I nearly broke down and cried. I didn't know such a thing existed in WDW and didn't pack my XXL-size wallet in preparation...

I'd love to see Dr. Who merchandise (favorite companion: Nyssa). Is there anything in the U.K. pavilion based on a TV show? I used to watch Benny Hill, Dave Allen, Monty Python, and Absolutely Fabulous quite a bit, and I thought they were all really funny.

I don't remember any of the shows you mention being featured in the UK pavilion:veryconfu I just remember mostly music themed stuff, the Beatles, possibly The Who? and things related to knights and castles! (Monty Python rock! Benny Hill, don't get whats funny!:dazzle:)

They just need to install a blue police box over by the gardens.

It would be an awesome photo op for us geeky fans.

That would really be neat!
Or, consider this: The distinctive sound of the TARDIS is heard, it suddenly appears, a face character steps out, looks around, then goes back in and the TARDIS disappears.
(I'll leave the technical details to WDI):lookaroun

How about a Primeval attraction in a reborn BK at AK. "journey with Abby and Connor thru an anomaly and come out..."

We have Matt Smith currently in the U.S.. I do agree that David Tennant was the best but Rose(Billie Piper) was my favorite companion.

We are definitely behind with Torchwood though and I'm missing that alot.:(

I must insist that Donna Noble is the best!

Primeval has gotten terrible with their new cast. I liked the Series 1 cast better.

Huge Dr. Who fan here also. Got hooked back in the 80's when PBS used to run the Tom Baker years. I try watching the new episodes on BBC America but cant quite get into it.

I would love to see some merchandise in Epcot.

ME TOO... I got hooked in mid 80s and I think Tom Baker was the best out of them all. I think it would be cool to see some stuff in Epcot.

I don't recall them having any items related to any TV shows in the UK pavillion on my trip last November. If you like classic rock from the UK (Beatles, Stones, Queen, Eric Clapton), they had items for them. But I'd love if they even just put a Police Box somewhere in the area.

The series is caught up with the UK if you have BBC America. In fact, this past year's Christmas special debuted on BBC America the same day it did in the UK, which was a first. I'm starting to get into Matt Smith's take on the Doctor. With him following David Tennant, who is my favorite Doctor, it was hard to do.

I like Tom Baker and David Tennant, but Matt Smith isn't too bad. I like Amy Pond too. It may have to do with the length of her police uniform skirt though. :D

Yeah, I don't know if SyFy is really picking up the new episodes or not because BBC America has had a full season of Matt Smith. He's good I just havent warmed up to him like I did with Christoper Eccelston and Dave Tennant.

I warmed up to Matt Smith quicker than I did for Eccleston. Tennant was amazing, but Matt Smith is in no way a slouch.

Yes-nothing there last year but I did bring my Tom Baker scarf for a picture outside the regular phone booth!

Imagine a returned energy pavilion with the Doctor!

That makes no sense.

I've always found that your favorite Doctor is usually the one you get hooked with first.

There's suppose to be a big game changer this upcoming season. I read a rumor that it will be Catherine Tate as the new Doctor! This excites me beyond anything.

Appearently the Doctor-Donna thing will carry forward or something. I'm really interested in this rumor!

Yeah that's not happening. BBC has already confirmed Smith is in contract till at least 2013.

But to be honest the way they've been debuting the new series they might go through the next series in two years. So that storyline might be a possibility.

Any thing is a possibility with that show. Sure, some may find it campy, but they have some of the more interesting writing on television. They carry arcs incredibly well and I for one would not at all be surprised to find Donna Noble intertwined again...

Very true. I'm interested to see if it happens because no matter what gets thrown at her I'm sure Catherine Tate could pull it off. The woman's an acting goddess.

Wait, are you guys saying that a woman who's already played/playing a companion will be portraying the next regeneration of the Doctor? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you guys, but if that's what you're suggesting, how does that work? I know Bond did it with Charles Gray, but... okay, there's no excuse for that.
