I was watching the on-ride video, and I was wondering..

What does he say when you load, launch, and get off the ride. I can kind of make out some of the things he says, but I can't get all of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:D

I really cant remember, it's been two years since i was last on it.

The one thing i will say about it is that the 'fall' ins't the exciting part. Going up is much better than the going down.

But i suppose 'Dr. Doom's fear rise' doesn't exactly have the same effect!!

This reminds me a lot of the Maliboomer in California. I really liked that ride, so I know this ride will be even better. I like the fact that Dr. Doom's FearFall has somewhat of a story line and has a lot more themeing than Disney has. I can't wait to go on this ride!:D Any tips or suggestions about Universal I should know about? I've been there before in 1999 but I'm sure things have changed since then. Like Storm Force, what kind of ride is this? Thanks for your help.:D

They hadn't opened that yet when i was there in 2000, but i don't think i'd want to go on anyway, looks like it would make me puke!!:hurl:

Storm Force can best be described as a copy of the tea cups from Magic Kingdom at WDW. Sorry for using Disney references in the Universal area...but I couldn't think of any other way to describe it.

where did you find an on ride video of this ride???

You are the last and final peice of my plan...

Thanks to you weak mortals, I now have the power I need to defeat the fantastic 4, and become the most powerful man on earth

Doombot! Ignore safety wornings and set to maxium extraction

Maxium extraction enabled...

Ok...I know I messed that up big time, but I think he this is said in the annoucements before and after the ride. The lines are probably all out of order and missing stuff, but tommorow I'll fix that. I'll get a good recording of it and tell you exactly what is said (hopefully).

Before launch

You are the last and final piece of my plan. Your terror, sucked from the very harum(sp?) of your being, will fill my fear fuel reservoir and make me the most powerful man on earth.

DOOMBOTS, ignore safety warnings and set for maximum extraction.

Maximum extraction enabled.

Now, put your head against the headrest, I don't want to miss a drop.

Prepare to be terrorized.

After launch

Fear exceeding expected levels

You have served doom well, thanks to you weak mortals I finally have the power I need to crush the fantastic four.

The triumph of Dr. Doom is at hand. (laughter)

Lemme tell you, i skipped Doom the first 2 times i went to IoA, but i imediately regretted it when i actually rode it..... the queue area is actually themed pretty nicely, and the fact that you are loaded indoors, and then fired outdoors, makes it a little more suspenseful then most upward launch rides, such as Maliboomer in DCA

The theme on this ride is really great, as are all the rides on Marvel Island (I wouldn't know Storm, though, it wasn't there during my visit).

That being said, I think I have never been disappointed with a ride that I expected so much. Ok, it goes up really fast, and then what? We have a similar atraction here, and THAT one is good. You go up like an elevator, and it drops you like bomb, around 80 to 100 km/h. If Doom got you up like it does, and then dropped you as fast, now THAT would be a Fearfall.

I was extremely disappointed with this ride. The theming inside is great but the ride itself is not worth the wait.... Its name is "Fearfall" which is not apt at all (there is nothing scary about that fall!!) I do not know about anyone else but i will not be going on this ride again.

I am really looking forward to the 6th July when i go on holiday and i finally get to go on "Spiderman" I cannot wait!!!!!!!

*only 26 days to go*

Dr. Doom's Fear Fall, Maliboomer (sp), etc. are all the same ride built by the same company (S&S Power).

Its called the Space Shot (there is also a true drop version of the ride) and can be found at most amusement parks.

The only difference between the others and Dr. Doom is that Dr. is themed MUCH more then any other (even at DCA).

So, you could say (depending, Doom is not the tallest or fastest) that it is one of the top of its type.
