Downtown Disney - hair braiding

HI, I was wondering if anyone knows if they stillhave the hair braiding station at Downtown Disney? If they do do you know the cost, and approximately how long it takes to get your hair braided for medium length hair? Also, does it tend to ruin your hair or do they know the proper way of braiding that when you take it out your hair remains in good shape?

I am not sure if the still have it at downtown disney but they do at all the resorts. it costs $2.50 a each and takes about a 1/2hr. i usually just cut the hair, never tried to take it apart.

They have a kiosks in Downtown Disney....It is $1.50/inch and extra for the beads.

If so inclined, the Orlando Premium Outlets does it at the food court. I think they were $1 per inch and Universal are $1.50 per inch.

In order to remove it after a few months make sure to keep the hair at the top of the wrap by your scalp conditioned. Otherwise it gets very dry and falls apart.


EDIT: IS IT 2.50 now??? WOWSERS! I thought it was still 1.50. Holy carp!

When we were in WDW in Nov. We saw Kiosks in DTD but when we walked by they had no one attending to it, DD -10 was very upset. So cannot tell u price.

Are we talking actual braids or hair wraps?

I would like to get the actual braids - full head. I have done the wraps before but they tend to dry up and make my hair get in awful condition which is why I'm concerned.

I figured that, but it seems like people were giving details about hair wraps? Maybe I'm wrong. I'm not sure if I've ever seen actual braids at DTD.. I'm probably mistaken though! Good luck =)

you can get hair braiding done at Ivy Trellis at the Grand Floridian Resort and then recently at Perriwigs which is located at the Beach Club. 1/2 head of braiding is $55.
