I must say....Tim Hortons has some really good donuts....better than Dunkin' Donuts, but not as good as Krispy Kreme. :slurp:

I love the Krispy Kreme at Marché Centrale, they gave us free hot ones straight off the line when we went in there, before ordering anything. (I ended up buying 3 dozen afterwards  )

Please don't mention Timmy Ho's though  Apart from Poutine, I think they're the thing I miss the most from Montréal - good thing I brought back some of the coffee although I have no way of replicating the doughnuts :(

One would think that since I 'made the donuts' for 20 years; I'd despise them. However, I could eat my way out of a donut! My favorite: chocolate yeast (glazed). Also I loved buttermilk drops that were produced from McKenzies Bakeries (now defunct after 40+ years). We don't have Dunkin Donuts here; only Krispy Kreme, which I like, but they don't have Chocolate Glazed donuts:( . I do like the Fluff filled :)

Hey now, let's suppress some of that hostility and channel it into something a bit more constructive like the "Smoking Thread" or the inevitable "Gay Day" thread that is due to pop-in any day now.

Is it wrong to use "Gay Day" and "Pop-in" in the same sentance?

I am always kidding. Sometimes I find it hard to figure out myself when I'm not. . . kidding. Wow, that sentence blew. I wanted to say, "channel that anger towards something constructive like working out or jogging" but on an early Tuesday morning, I thought I would take the low road. Sorry for anybody I may have offended, myself included.

How's that new car doing? Like the color.

Speaking of color, I was playing golf about 10 years ago, when the yellow and orange golf balls were popular and a friend of mine said he refused to play colored balls. My other friend shot back with, "What are you, racist." Thought that was kinda funny. Anywho. . .

I thought you were kidding... but you never use any smilies... so sometimes... it is hard to tell ;)

New car is great... some very minor aesthetic things here and there... but the dealership is already on it and ordering parts.

Good news, I am glad it worked out. It really is a sharp looking car.

And congrats to the artist formerly known as MKT for having a thread about donuts go over 3 pages . . .*polite golf clap*

if i still worked at my local Wal-Mart bakery, i could make you all donuts...i could even make them just the way you like them. that is, if you're not too picky about where your donuts come from (Wal-Mart's donuts come frozen and they either fry them or bake them).
i was the donut icer, in case you all didn't know. usually, i had to go by the list of donuts i HAD to make...the list would tell me what icing and/or topping to put on which donut. but sometimes i'd sneak in some special ones. like a regular ring donut with white icing and chocolate stripes. or chocolate covered raspberry filled bismarks (they always just wanted me to use white icing on those). one time i got a special order for a dozen glazed donuts with chocolate icing on top.
toward the end of my donut icing experience, i was dieing to get more creative with them. i always had to go into the store to restock our coconut, and i would always eye the bag of mini chocolate chips...i always thought donuts would be good with chocolate chips or mini M&M's on them. i never mentioned it to my manager, but i doubt she would have let me do it anyway.
so anyway, donuts are cool...I enjoy them. my personal faves are chocolate iced plain long johns, glazed chocolate cake donuts, and chocolate iced rings with sprinkles....with a pint of milk. :D

Saw a recipe tonight for KrispyKreme bread pudding. Used broken up glazed doughnuts instead if stale bread. Interesting..

.

The BEST!!! I used to eat two of them for breakfast every morning (washed 'em down with a Coke). Do you refrigerate them or leave them out at room temperature?

Also, I don't like Krispy Kremes. They hurt my teeth.
