There once was a Channel called Disney
Whose programs were quite full of whimsy
Then its awesomeness faded
As the lineup was raided
With tween crap like Hannah and Lizzy

I loved Tale Spin, Goof Troop, Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears, and Darkwing Duck!

The Disney Channel just isn't the same anymore...

And Alice in Wonderland. And My Little Ponies (I am pretty sure it came on Disney. I was 6, so I might be wrong.) And there were some other GREAT shows on back then. And The Vault was THE BEST. Every summer I would stay up SUPER late just to watch the stuff in The Vault. It felt so special. Like I was the only one watching it and I would be the only one to know Walt's plans. And the old MMC and the movies and shorts they would show. They need a Vault Disney Channel reserved forever and always for the REALLY old stuff.

Also, I like the little poem. At the time, I liked Lizzy. But, she is no longer Lizzy and that dear channel is not the same either.

I use to watch those non stop. I use to love it when the Disney Channel would play many old footages of Walt Disney and the new rides/theme parks/movies/etc. I would also enjoy the days when Disney would make soft-rock Disney cartoon music videos. My favorite time to watch the Disney Channel when they would play classic Disney Christmas cartoons, old MMC, and Disney's Christmas Carol.

I loved the live action shows like "Danger Bay". I couldn't remember the name, but luckly there's IMDB.

There was also another show with "crime solving" kids. I don't remember what it was called, but I remember an episode where the bad guys smuggled the gems in glass bottles of colored liquid. One of the kids smashed the bottle to reveal the gems...pretty weird what one remembers!:D

Miss the old Disney cartoons too. Like the Goofy ones with the narrator... Goofy learns to drive..Goofy changes diapers...etc.

Oh! There was one where the guy was detailing a car and the pinstripes came to life and went wild!

Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

Dang, I remember most of those. We didnt have disney channel early in the 90s but they used to show those shows on our channel 5 and I used to love em, my fav. was Goof troop. I used to love that show in Mickeys Starland too. Ah well, when we finally got disney channel it had already began to morph into the crap that it is today, Lizzie had just started to come on.

I never got to see the new MMC, but I remember back when they used to show vault disney at night, I used to watch the old 1950s one and loved it, I also loved the Walt Disney presents when he used to go behind the scenes of DL, gave me something to look forward to at WDW.

The show I most miss is Disneyworld Inside Out. It covered everythinh going on at Disneyworld in a light hearted serial news format.

I adored the Wuzzles. I have like half of the episodes on tape from when Toon Disney used to show them at like 6am. Amazing show - it's a shame the popularity of the Gummi Bears killed it. (Don't get me wrong, I love the Gummi Bears too -bought Volume I on DVD last year, and am anxiously awaiting a release of Volume II)

They don't make shows like those anymore. I remember getting home from school and watching Zorro and Spin and Marty. Then setting the VCR to tape all of the amazing programs on Vault Disney. Their Sherman Brothers week was just simply amazing.
