My nephew and I are currently staying at the Beach Club, and I wanted to let you all know not to give up on making last minute reservations just yet. I mean, I haven't been trying to get into any high-ticket places, but we've gotten a couple reservations at Rainforest Cafe (at AK,) The Plaza, Captain's Grille and Trail's End (both breakfast) while here. It's worth a try!

That's good to know. Thanks for the info.

I hope you are enjoying my home away from home and listening to the Innoventions Loop for me!

teppan edo in epcot is also one you can usually get into last minute and the foods great.

And Morocco

For the most part the rush is really at Dinner, and to a lesser extent Lunch at some of the 'hotter' places.

You can get walk up Lunches at a lot of places, and unless it is a character breakfast, Breakfast is good chances as well.

I am working on booking dining for some friends of ours who just booked their 1st WDW trip for Nov.
I have found that some of the ADRs are no problem, but then others seem almost impossible to get (Chef Mickey's, Ohana's, Whispering Canyon, 1900 Park Fare, etc.).
I am checking the website every day hoping that their preferred choices come open!

Just got back from 10 days and we had only made three reservations: CG, V & A, and Narcoossees.

We had no problem getting walk up service for Germany (Spelling issues for restaurant), Via Napol, Rose n Crown, two different times to Trails End, Artist Point, and GF Cafe.

persistence can often pay off. we live in florida so we sometimes just get the urge to go to wdw and have to scramble for adrs. i just keep looking, often several times a day (at different times) until i get what i want or am forced to give up. i think people sometimes change their minds or something changes their plans and they cancel...don't really know but it works out sometimes. i think it mainly depends on the time of year (holiday, peak, regular or value season).

I have learned that if you go to a place and they say they are all full and not accepting walk-ups, they can check other places in the park and let you know which ones would be available for walk-ups.

Back from our Oct 3-12 trip. Didn't try for lots of sit-downs. Via Napoli doesn't take ressies yet. Waited about 10 minutes to get a table (for two) for dinner. Same day lunch ressies for 50s Prime Time, France and Tokyo Dining were no problem. Also Citricos for the Saturday night, although there was nothing at California Grill - but there was for Sunday. So overall we got what we wanted except for CG on Sat. night.
