Just going through the kids' clothes I bought....7 pr of shorts/8 shirts for Joel, and 7 pr of shorts/1 shirt for Ab....she's more picky about her choices, so I'm taking her shopping for the rest of her things this Sat. Some of this stuff looks like it has never been worn either. *so happy*

Hello all!


So, I love my mom...I really do, but I hate how much she tries to "help" me find a job sometimes.

She's on this kick right now of trying to better my life, because, well, with the economy the way it is, hers kind of went down the crapper, for the future.

So, she's constantly trying to find job paths for me. Recently it was a teacher...but now she's back on to something else. She doesn't want me to be "stuck" here...with nothing to have for retirement.

Today...she sent me this job for a local TV station here to be a reporter. That's all great...it's in my field that I went to school for. The problem...I'm not really qualified for it.

They want 3-5 years of solid journalism and I have 3-5 years of moderate/light journalism. She's just so excited about it and thinks I'd be great for it. I know the truth...I won't get this job, even if I apply. Plus, I have to have a tape to send...which I have...but it's all filled with my college stuff...and even if I added a little of my newer stuff, that's not gonna be enough to update my tape for this.

So, I guess, despite the fact that I'm not going to get this job, I should work on my resume tape tomorrow...:brick:

I just know it's all going to be futile.
