Doing the wave with Magic Friends

And to top it all off, now that we have a spare ticket, my girlfriend wants to invite this guy that she's totally in love with who, let us just say, does not return the sentiment. Grant does not want her to bring him because he's afraid she'll turn the whole thing into the "Alicia trying to impress a guy who has nno interest in her" show. And he's right, but I can't tel her the ticket is already taken because it's not.

Alicia is tough...I know in her efforts to impress this guy she will bring up all kinds of inappropriate storied from our past (it may shock you to learn I was a bit wild in my youth) in front of Emily. And will have no clue as to why this is unacceptable...she thinks she knows from kids but at 40 with no kids of her own she sort of forgets other people's are in the room.

Don't let her call the shots! After all, you can be Bridezilla if you want to! :D

Pumpkin pie would work too!

Do her kids realize what she is doing? Do they just go along with it?

Sometimes they do... sometimes not. It's their MOM, so a lot of emotions are tied up in it. It's hard for them to seperate emotions out of it... and that's saying a lot since they're all generally an unemotional bunch.

Mmm... ice cream.

I shouldn't though. I've got half a pumpkin pie in the fridge :lookaroun

And oh heck yes does she interfere. That's what she lives for, it seems.

Oh yum! :slurp:

I don't think there's anything I can say about your MIL that hasn't already been said. I'm just sorry you have to deal with all of that insanity.

It helps to have a bunch of impartial people telling me this. Sometimes she gets to me so much I wonder if I'M not the crazy one. :p

It's a shame that one of them can't talk some sense into each other and maybe to her too.

At least you realize that.
It helps to understand the craziness a little.

Have to run my darlings...big hugs and kisses to those who need them, and also to everyone else just 'cause.

Bye sweetie - best wishes for tomorrow!

No you're not. Just give your little girl extra smooches - she'll keep you sane....at least until puberty. :lookaroun
