Doing the wave with Magic Friends

It is so beautiful here today. I feel like I should go outside and do something, but I don't know what.

it's SO nice here too. Such a change from the solid rain in the past 56 hours.
Hmmm...have you spoken with the pharmacy manager...maybe addressing your concerns would be a good idea.

Hey back!

Hmm...maybe go for a walk at a park? Can you do that? Or is that too much for you? Or go read a book and sit outside?

Read the book!
Read the book!
Read the book!

You'll miss those quiet, all by yourself moments soon
Ooo! Scratch my original idea. THAT'S what I'd do! Though I don't know how I feel about the book I'm currently reading...
What book is that? I'm working my way through the Aurora Teagarden mysteries.

Take a walk! That's what I would do if I wasn't working.
Do you normally work, Chrissy? Forgive me, but I don't remember or I never knew...

That's what I was thinking about doing, but it seems like my feet swell so easily now. Although walking is supposed to help things move along more quickly....I might have to call some people and see if they want to go to the park.

I was working until about 3 weeks ago. My position was eliminated, so they let me go on maternity leave early.

I have been so attached to the Twilight books this week. I have the last book sitting here in front of me. I really want to start it to find out what happens, but I don't want it to be over. How sad is that! :o

Ooo! I haven't heard of those, but I love mysteries. I just finished The Thirteenth Tale which was really good, mysterious if not a mystery.

Now I'm reading The Shack. People at church have RAVED about it. As a writer, I'm a fan of good writing. I don't think the author is extremely talented, though he's not bad. And the story... well... I'm only 100 pages in, but it kind of took a turn that I might describe as a little hokey...

Next up: The Time Traveller's Wife if Samie and I get to start at the same time.

Oh okay. I'm sorry Chrissy. :(

I know how you feel! I whipped through those books in just a few nights... and then was sad because I felt like I wanted more... and there wasn't any

I'll have to give that one a try when I'm done these. I'm slowly working my way through Charlaine Harris's ouvre. She wrote the Sookie Stackhouse novels, which is what the HBO series True Blood is based on. They're... different... and I inhaled them. Now I'm waiting for #9 to come out in May, and to bide my time I'm reading the rest of her works.

Haven't yet. But I hate to bother them. :o

Susan, I say let them know you've been disappointed lately...it's not going to get better if you keep sitting on your laurels about it. Sometimes you need to let people know you're dissatisfied. (Says the person who hates to get complained to at work... )

Nibbs, 1 to 1, top of the second.

Oh, your Cubbies are so going down!

It's been the same here...overcast and rainy since Monday I think. It looks like it is supposed to be beautiful tomorrow and Sat too. Of course this would be the weekend that DH has to take his practice boards. He has been wanting to go into the city so badly to do the Muppet workshop thing, but last weekend it was raining. It would have been perfect to go this weekend.

One of the other resident's wives is a stay at home mom to a 2 year old. She has been calling me non-stop since I have been off from work. I know there will come a time when I crave adult conversation, but I am so enjoying the me time right now. I still feel like I have so much to get ready, and I just like being able to do what I want to do when I want to do it. Not to mention.....she is a little nuts. :lookaroun

It's actually going to work out better for me. I still got my maternity leave pay, and now I get to apply for unemployment because technically they I was laid off.

.

That's what I'm worried about! Does the last book end in a way that I will feel satisfied or is it going to leave me wanting more?

I heard they're rather... graphic. I was thinking about reading them, but I heard I may not be a fan of some of the scenes... :lookaroun

Feel lucky she's calling. All the other moms around here avoid me like the plague :(

I'm desperate for some conversation most days

Well that's good then!
I was satisfied... Though I have a feeling I was not as big a fan of them as some.

i felt satisfied. it really does have closure. I just wish there were more.

Yeah.. they're SO not like anything I've read before. Kinda mystery, romance novel, and sci fi all rolled into one. It was a shock when I got to one of "those" parts in the book, but they're easily skipped. I just liked the heroine too much to stop reading.

I wish my SIL hadn't moved. I think she used to live pretty close to you, but now they moved to Virginia. I'm actually hoping that some of the new people who are coming in June will have kids. This girl is just a little wacky. She tries to give me parenting advice all the time and she is pretty much the last person I would ever take advice from.

Well that's good then!

I love my DH but Edward Cullen could come through my bedroom window any night :lookaroun

Have you seen the show? When we first signed up for DVR we got HBO for free so we DVR-ed a few. After halfway (if that) through the first one, we turned it off and deleted the rest. I wondered if the books were as graphic (and I'm not talking about violently graphic...:lookaroun) The story intrigued me though.
