I believe they are in all sections. However this only goes til October so if you're planning a trip after that you're out of luck.

I'm not a fan at staying at a dog friendly resort. I've done it in the past, and more often then not, I'm woken up by dogs parking at night because they're in unfamiliar setting with strange noises.

Yup, I stayed at Art of Animation and I could hear two dogs constantly barking two floors directly above me. And this was all day long. The owners left the dogs in the room all day and must have went to the park. I hate that. I left them a rather blunt note on their door.

Although, just to add for anyone who has already booked. They are honouring existing bookings with dogs, although you may want to get that added as a note to your reservation.

And what would Disney expect. They're at WDW and so the plan is to be at the park all day, what do they think the dog will do? I'm not ignoring the pet owner who left them there all day, but the folks at Disney had to see what would happen

This has happened to me as well. I feel bad for the dogs but angry towards the owners that leave them cooped up in the room all day. There is a beautiful luxurious kennel on property and I think that’s where dogs should be at WDW. I personally board mine close to home when I travel and he loves it. It’s like a resort for dogs and he gets excited when we pull up in the parking lot. I can’t imagine leaving him locked up in a hotel room for 12 hours while I’m at the parks. Kudos to you for leaving a note. I hope you let the hotel staff know as well.

. LOL! Totally my opinion. My Sog is boarded at a similar location at home before I leave but have toured Best Friends kennels by POR and I thought it was awesome. Maybe we should poll all of the dogs here in WDWMagic and find out how they feel.

MANY WDW Resorts are not "dog resorts". Just a thought - pick these, avoid "dog resorts" (unless you want one).

We'd probably be surprised by the result.
My understanding is that they are very distraught over the new hydrant fees.

My dogs (2 Labs) stay home (Disney trips put me an hour and a half away). Luckily, they are taken care of when I'm gone....Disney or otherwise.

I think the dogs in Disney resorts scheme is becoming permanent.

I'm rethinking my resort selection because of this. It seems certain floors are designated for dogs, yet from reading it, I think its all buildings. There are no buildings that will be dog free.

At POR there is only one building reserved for (non-service) dogs, Acadian House in the mansions section.
