Yeah, because as we all know, there's no pretending at WDW allowed!

I deem that the best comeback of this thread, and it pretty much sums up my opinion of the whole thing.

Unless someone is clearly in need of information (e.g., they're lost or they're clueless about the intensity of ToT or some other attraction), then I say just let 'em go. But that's just me. :)

If you were taking a tour of the ghiradelli factory in sanfran or a perfume factory in the carribean and said something you thought was correct and someone turned around annoyed that you were incorrect and set you straight.....see what i mean?

Ugh! Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but that'd make me feel like poo. It'd really really upset me. I'd prolly feel bad the rest of the day. Now if someone turned around and nicely said "Well actually... blah blah blah" I'd be like ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok ya I see what you mean. Wouldn't think much of it. I mean if it were me I know I wouldn't be tryin to shoot my mouth off about stuff I supposedly knew... or bein rude or obnoxious about it.. Ugh LOL I AM too overly sensitive. I'm feeling bad about it right now! :hammer:

This topic really struck a chord with me. It reminded me of something that happened to me several years ago...

I had brought a date to Six Flags and we were standing in a pretty long line for one of the big roller coasters. To kill time, I decided to tell her about this really cool Star Trek episode I had just seen. I don't remember the exact episode, but I remember it was one of the Next Generation episodes involving the Borg. Anyway, as I was telling the story, I apparently had some minor insignificant detail wrong. There were some hardcore Trek fans within earshot and they decided to correct me in front of her. The thing is, the detail that I had wrong wasn't significant to the story, but to these hardcore know-it-alls, it was. They proceeded to talk to me like I was some kind of idiot for not having my "facts straight". I found it to be really degrading and rude.

The thing is, I enjoy watching Star Trek, but I'm far from being an "expert" on it. But those people made me feel as though I couldn't just enjoy an episode without knowing all the intimate facts in precise detail. Luckily, my date and I both brushed it off as just some "geeks" taking it way too seriously. I would imagine that's the same reaction most guests have when a hardcore Disney buff corrects them on something that doesn't really matter. [/B]

YOUR story struck a chord with me. It reminded me of this concert my DH & I were at back in 01. Glam Slam. Anyhow..... This guy sitting pretty much directly behind us was there on an obvious first date. He was trying like heck to impress her. She looked less than thrilled to be there with him to be honest with you. Anyhow.... Right before Warrant's set this guy was going on & on about hoping they play "Faith Blind". My DH & I just kinda shared a look  :veryconfu and chuckled between ourselves. This guy started screaming "PLAY FAITH BLIND!! PLAY FAITH BLIND!!" (When in fact the song is called Blind Faith just in case you didn't know). The girl finally took off and left him there. We weren't about to correct him and make him look like even more of a goober to this girl. He was doin a good job of that himself. Didn't need anymore help. Loud & obnoxious to boot. Thats one of the things we like about going to concerts. We like sitting & listening to everyone around us talkin bout stuff.

whew. I go away from the boards for a few days, and this thread explodes.

My point was about those who are outright rude in line. they are rude to everyone, including me, for no reason, and I never said a word to them. so then, my quality of a trip is lessened. I have every right to report him to the nearest CM, or to help them out.

anyway. I gotta go straighten some things out here at work. this conference is going to kill me in the end.....

*sending happy vibes to everyone for everything*
