ok i know i can't be the only one who somewhere someone tells your something about disney( they being not quite the disney addict as you ) such as "wow small world is down or other nonsence that us the disney addicts know because when it comes to disney all of us on this site are disney know it alls( i mean that in a good way) for instance we've been to disney quite a few times, we always get a little envelope from our travel agent with the disney logo on it and such, well mother in law is coming with us this year , so she too has a little envelope, my hubby and i know the inside and out of it seen it thousand times before ( does'nt vary to much from year to year) but she proceeds to tell my hub all thats inside , , like it was our first time and we are ammataur's lol.. so my husband just sat there letting her go on about what s in the package and such.. i know i'm not the only one.. so come guys tell me your story...

Members of my family have done that to me before. They will sit there and say "Wow, did you know that....?"I'll sit there rolling my eyes wating for them to finish so I can say "Um, yes!" with a smart a__ smirk on my face. They'll always start laughing about how they should have known better than to even ask me.

Took the M-I-L on our last trip - and yes, it was annoying at first, she obviously confused her enthusiasm with her knowledge and having been corrected (by all the family) kept quiet. She still had a great time though !

As do I, with those who are new to the Disney experience. But my immediate family is pretty knowledgable themselves. They sometimes try to stump me with trivia and such, and I'm sorry I have to harrass them about it. LOL!! :lol:

Anyways I know the trivia thing... I love when people bet you on things that they are 100% sure on... and they are wrong. Rollercoasters, themeparks, and Disney trivia are my specialties... Yet I am challanged nearly every time the topic comes up. My favorite are the people who try to impress others with fake trivia, such as a guy telling his girlfriend that Space Mountain once had a loop and went 100mph but they took it out because it got stuck upside-down and slowed it down because of "that kid" :lookaroun and she believes him! :hammer:

Well, for the band trip, I ended up having 25 people following me one day because I knew the parks so well and yet most of the other people thought you had to pay to get fastpass.

I went evil on them and brought them on Star Tours, then at the endI ran off to see Stunt Show construction. The group splint into half while I was gone and I found one half on sunset blvd.

I think it's kind of funny when people do this, but you know you can't get mad at them or anything, because they are just beginners. I was with my family once, and they were amazed at all the things i knew. Like in the Haunted Mansion when I knew where the door opens, they started freaking out. They were like, "how did you know that?????!?!" It's kind of funny.

Its also not really true. Disney sold SOME of the stores merchandising rights to childrens place.

what makes me laugh is when someone tries to tell me the 'Can't you find any other place to want to go?'. It's usually from someone who's never been or someone who just doesn't appreciate the Disney magic.
