I'm in the NYC area. I don't need to take a tram to a monorail to get to the front gate. Just get me there the fastest way possible. I don't think the TTC adds, it only subtracts.
Well, you are entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it is!I'm in the NYC area. I don't need to take a tram to a monorail to get to the front gate. Just get me there the fastest way possible. I don't think the TTC adds, it only subtracts.
Plus imagine what sending all the resort guests to the TTC would do to the wait times for the ferry and monorail.I don't. I think that would be an inefficient use of the bus service. You wait at your resort for a bus, then wait again at TTC. I understand the nostalgia of riding the monorail, I love it, but the transportation system in my opinion works decently right now. I think adding a route from each resort just to the TTC would just muck it up.
I'm trying to figure out how being from the NYC area (NJ?) is related to enjoying a monorail.I'm in the NYC area. I don't need to take a tram to a monorail to get to the front gate. Just get me there the fastest way possible. I don't think the TTC adds, it only subtracts.
People from NYC are always in a hurry and hate taking longer than needed.I'm trying to figure out how being from the NYC area (NJ?) is related to enjoying a monorail.

Haha. I don't really know. I haven't been to NYC since I was a child but growing up in Connecticut, my mom always made fun of New Yorkers for always being in a mad hurry and never slowing down and enjoying their day. I guess I assumed that was a well known stereotype.I am not sure I understand the reason for this statement...
Many people are in a hurry for different reasons including large groups and those travelling with small children. Perhaps those on a limited timeframe or running late for ADR's. There really are many reasons why someone would want to skip over TTC and many may have to do with less commotion than actual time concerns.
Just a counterpoint

I get that feeling when I get off the hotel bus and walk up to monorail or ferry...I'm staying onsite for the first time this year, after many trips staying offsite I had no idea you don't get dropped off at the TTC! i'm kinda sad about it, i love the build up to seeing MK it just perfectly sets the scene for me.
It's more than that, to me. In my mind, it's akin to the ferry ride to Liberty Island than the subway. It's more than just transportation to the place. It is a building of expectation.I just mean, it's no "thrill" for us to ride public transportation. We do it everyday. It's to get from Point A to Point B. So the monorail ride from TTC to MK doesn't do anything for me or my kids. I'm comfortable with the Disney Transportation, regardless, and it's a means to an end, not an end in and of itself.
Just confirming that people that are in a huge rush to do things, miss out on a lot. Tram rides are pretty basic, but, it is how I relate to MK. Without it something big is missing from the experience. But, to each his own.I always stay on property but I do miss riding the trams...I have even gone as far as just hoping over to the TTC and riding it just to be riding it
