Trust me...they got that message. Quite some time ago.Well if they are listening, please, please, please bring back the Adventurer's Club.
That is because they are not scouring these boards looking for ideas. And lets be honest here, most of the fan ideas for improving the parks make about as much sense as whizzing on an electric fence. For the most part they are concerned with CM posting confidential information. At best a plant might throw out a rumor for a blue sky attraction, or change to an existing procedure to gauge public response. It also has been suggested that a few imagineers have poster rumors of their shelved ideas to try and bring them out of the basement.
whizzing on an electric fence!!!!! AAAhhhh HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol:
Mythbusters proved that nothing will happen to you.:animwink: Just a little information about that subject.
You don't even need to be an insider to know this. They publicly said that they monitor these boards in a press conference a few years ago. They even mentioned a change to their dining plan because of the responses on these boards.
I originally thought that there was no way anyone high up was reading the boards - but that makes sense. I guess if it were me, I would certainly be checking things out too.
It's funny to think that someone around here could be 'the mole'. I could be talking to someone who I think is from smalltown, usa when really it's some WDW bigwig.![]()
If you were a company and you had a fan site that had 63,000 members and over 3 million posts talking about you, wouldnt you be interested? It's a great free focus group.
They obviously don't change things in specific reponse to everything they read online, but it certainly helps them to know what a lot of people are thinking about the additions and changes they make.
LOL how do we know you are not the mole?
:ROFLOL:, now i know why people are so irational sometimes with that stuff. AWSOME insight! It's easy to spot the WDW bigwig moles. They're the ones who defend Disney's price increases and service cutbacks.
ehhh, i like MS better to be honestIf they read and listened to these boards Horizons would have been brought back a long time ago![]()
:ROFLOL:if someone got denied from a Disney job b/c of them wanting a 5th park or a monorail expansion i would wanna hear that story!I would be incredibly surprised if Disney did NOT read these boards. I assume this is part of the job of many people, not the exclusive job of anybody, and not the only job of anyone. Any forward thinking company would want to read what people think of them, especially if it is constructive and intelligent. They will not necessarily fold under online pressure on specific issues, but I assume they take such expressed views into account on their decisions.
By the way, you might want to consider your comments on these boards in light of a potential desire to work for Disney some day. Take notice of your spelling, grammar and thoughtfulness. If I were applying for a job at Disney, I would mention that I made comments on wdwmagic.com, and welcome them to look them up. However, these boards are probably also considered usually to espouse the following limited views:
1. Build a 5th park (regardless of cost).
2. Complete Beastly Kingdom.
3. Expand the monorail (regardless of cost).
4. Bring in new and expensive attractions (regardless of cost).
5. Don't close down those things I like (keep everything that I like).
6. Don't raise prices.
7. Fix those cast members that act less than perfectly.
8. Disney is greedy.
If you're smart (and want a job some day at Disney), you might want to realistically look into Disney decisions from an economic viewpoint. Most highly successful employees have some understanding of the economics of their employers, when it is possible to do so. I am not saying you should unduly censor yourself here, but you might want to consider that Disney may look into this. Or not. It's just a thought.
