Does DHS need more to continue to be relevant?

I dont count EE at AK lol. not until they get then darn yeti fixed ! I was lucky enough to see the beast in full motion but I consider that ride a small let down bc of him. But still a very fun coaster!

sir goofy: I disagree that MK needs the most work. I think it is in ok shape, not great but definatly not worse then HS. alot of the older classic rides are in great shape! SM is getting a redo, HM just got done, and the other rides I think are great.

No, unfortunately most of the classic rides aren't in great shape. They are still great rides, but other than Mansion and HoP, most of them need a lot of help.

Where as the only problem child in DHS is Backlot Tour. Everything else is perfect.

We do not need thrill rides beyond those that are there now.

Completely disagree. MK needs one more thrill ride in it to complete the park, along with a few more C/D tickets.

Indy in Adventureland would be perfect.

Actually I think MK needs more than this to finish it off.

AL: Thrill ride Indy like you mentioned would be great.
FL: another E ticket
TL: complete overhau
Frontier: a c or d ticket.

Yup, it is the perfect ride for Adventureland.

FL: another E ticket

Mermaid is a given, so I was kind of assuming that.

TL: complete overhaul

Eh, yes and no. SGE and MILF could use changes, but I don't think a complete overhaul is needed.

Frontier: a c or d ticket.

Yes, a Frontierland D ticket would be perfect.

Yea the problem with Frontierland is there is just not as much to do as the otherlands even though it has 2 major Etickets.

I'd likethe d ticket to be something original but I'm asuming if it ever happened it would be something to do with Woody of Open Range.....

or at least keep pace with...not...broken thing.

Studios has two of the biggest E-tickets around, an incredible and must-see family D-Ticket, Muppets and Star Tours which are still two of the best, three of the most popular table service restaurants, and countless other shows and attractions. Does it need some more D-Ticket range attractions? yes. Does it mean it's the "Most in need of help"? no way.

Well said. I think it does need some padding, and definately an update to the GMR. It is my favourite park, possibly only because of TOT, I don't usually snort Pixie dust, but I can't say same for Hollywood Tower Hotel Dust :p.

All I want to see, honestly is more 30's and 40's themeing.

I'll make a deal, I'll accept that is valid until you can explain to me in detail every reference, story, detail, and architectural tribute of the existing buildings, streets, and etc, like I can. Nothing an medium range expert would know with proper experience.

You can't ask for more to explore until you've explored it all.
:p

I'm not used to abbreviating it as "DHS" [my family still calls it "MGM"], LOL. I tend to agree with the original poster in that it definitely needs something. I've visited WDW at least once or twice a year since I was born and honestly haven't had any desire to do DHS since my last visit there in 2001. Even that time, all I did was ride ToT and RRC, then park-hopped my way out of there. I suppose I wouldn't mind going back to see a few of the shows and minor attractions, now that over a decade has passed since my last "true" visit to the Studios [probably back in the 90s, I can't quite remember]. But yeah, out of all of the Disney parks, this one continually seems to fall short of being worth the ticket price. In my eyes, at least.

Other than the tacky organization, DHS boasts some of Disney's best rides. Tower of Terror is golden, can be considered as WDW's best attraction. RNRC is an innovated coaster. Muppet Vision is my favorite 3D attraction. Star Tours 2.0, if it happens, will put it back in the spotlight. Toy Story Mania is probably WDW's most popular attraction. I think Sir Goofy has a valid argument. Magic Kingdom needs a major facelift.

But first you must acquaint yourself with what's there, on Disney expert-ish terms as many here can. Sensei training time!

I'll start with an easy one. (Anyone feel free to answer, encourage Mr.Explorer here to answer with haste!) This one is general knowledge and ties into what you want to see more of.

Q: Because of what did Sid of Sid Cahuenga's one of a kind Hollywood curios shop, start his business?

I just do not understand the obsession with this attraction. It's a simulator.:snore: There are so many possibilities with such a great franchise and that is the best they can do. As to the original question, yes.

I don't know as DHS needs the most help. It is certainly relevant. ToT is one of the best attractions in the "World." What I would like them to do is expand the park.

It looks like they have a lot of land over beyond the Studios Drive area to expand the park. I don't know how feasible it is, but it looks like they could level the ground and move Studios Drive over and also expand the parking lot. They should do this while construction is relatively cheap.

By doing this they could expand the Lucas area with another attraction and eventually as Marvel becomes available (years down the road pending a breach / buyout) they could expand behind Muppet Vision / Streets of New York to have a Marvel Land.

In addition, in the time waiting for the Marvel license to come up wipeout the Backlot Tour and expand Pixar Place. If they did this DHS could make a serious run at the number two park on property.
