I may be biased since I was chosen to be one of the audience participants a few years back (I was in the group with the planted stuntman and he was HYSTERICAL), but I love this show. I took friends in October '15 who have never been to Disney and the looks on their faces when the stuntman got beaten up were absolutely priceless.

On the other hand, I definitely think it could use some updating. The fact that a young guy is still being referred to as "Harrison Ford's stunt double" 20+ years later SCREAMS outdated. Update it, incorporate stunts from each movie, preview the upcoming reboot...something. I'll also take an Indy ride...I'm not greedy or anything ;)

(Also, hi, I'm Carrie and I'm new here...been lurking for a while...but this was the post that made me break my silence :).)
About time you spoke up!!
I do like it, and welcome the opportunity to sit in a shaded area during the day. However, if we didn't do it on a particular trip, nothing would be lost.

It can be daunting when everyone has so much knowledge and also very firm opinions ;) I do think many repeat visitors are seeking shade, from what I've observed. But I can't help it- I love the planted stuntman. He makes the show for me!

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is another element of Disney that is better than Universal's version of a stunt show.. The 8th Voyage of Sinbad. 8 Voyage of Sinbad at Uni used to be 10X better until the show was updated, and new actors played the parts. Now it's half-butt every time we see the show. Lines are rushed and not enunciated. Hard to understand the actors. The fight scenes are done as if they've had the same fight over and over again and are bored with it (they probably are.) So, Indiana Jones wins in a category of attraction quality between uni and disney.. Disney wins for the stunt show.

I'll let you know in a few weeks! I've been to WDW three times in the last four years, but have some how managed to bypass this attraction each time. So for this trip, I made a list of the handful of things we have never done (park-wise attractions) to ensure that we hit pretty much everything.

I voted for "I love the show! I'd be sad to see it go", but if it needs to go to make room for Star Wars or just generally to accommodate both that and Toy Story (and maybe someday Cars Land?) then I guess it has to go... What I'm even more torn on are the Streets of America, again I would be so sad to see it go, but if it means progress in a Park that desperately needs it, then I guess I'd have to let that go too

I love the show and after seeing the 8th Voyage of Sinbad at IOA for the first time last month, I love it even more. However. I do with it was updated with stunts from the other films or possibly give a sneak peek of what's to come for the franchise.

I also recently saw it for the first time at night and the atmosphere was incredible. With updated stunts, I feel that it could really propel the show forward. If it goes, it'll be a major second blow(the Osborne lights being the first) but if it means a better park, I'm all for it.

It is a lot cooler after dark, I saw it after dark for the first time on our last trip. It really makes the fire scenes more impressive.

In my opinion the two most beautiful parks in Orlando are: The Magic Kingdom, and Epcot. Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios have better rides overall, but the concept of the genes lands around a castle, and having countries surrounding a giant lake, and even having Different buildings showcasing the land, space, Imagination, cars, marine life, health, energy, and the beautiful past, present, and future of Spaceship Earth in that georgeous Geodesic Sphere is just genious. It's awesome to have phenomenal rides, but you must have a beautiful park, and while all these parks are beautiful: ak, HWS, ioa, and USO I just feel lack that incredible overall layout. It would be cool if they could make an entire street themed to an era of Hoolywood stretching from the Hollywood Boulevard/Sunset Boulevard connection all the way west past echo lake, so the front of the park would be themed to Hollywood while the starting around the ChineseTheatre to the back would be themed to movies. There just needs to be some sort of way to make it transition. I give props to Diagonal Alley for theming the outside to London and once you enter yu are in Harry Ptter's world, but the east side of the park is just kinda cluttered with the Simpsons, Men In Black, and the Woody Woodpecker's kid-zone. I am confident though that Dinsey will make it work, and I am honestly assuming there has to be another ride, or land that they have not announced yet, I just hope they can make it a wonderful sight to look at like MK, and Epcot.

I've always liked it, but keeping it as is with literally almost no change for 20 years is just lazy.

Keep the Indiana Jones concept if you still feel it's popular, but let's get some different stunts, different dialogue, and please, different gags.
If I have to see the punch an extra and hat throw at the end again, I think I'll just skip it from now on.

So many people seem to forget that just because we (as a group on Disney forums) have seen it a gazillion times, literally millions of new and future visitors have never seen it. It is still an interesting show even for those of us that have seen it often. There is no reason to change it. I will repeat. A park can be improved and expanded without losing a good show. If we have seen it too often, then we just don't go to it, we should, however, allow others to see it. It has changed over the years, but, mostly in the form of eliminating some of the effects. Like the plane area and the trap door, but, essentially it has remained close to the same throughout the years, and it still has been a full house every time I have been to it.

My problem with Indy and LMA is that they have rather short stunt sequences in between painfully long breaks with almost nothing go on. I would miss Indy for nostalgia reasons, and not much else.

Well, it isn't an Indy show, it's a show about how movies like Indy are made. It isn't a straight flow like a movie, it has the reality of stops and resets and all the things that go into making an actual movie. It has to be looked at from that direction to fully appreciate the show within the show. That's why the park was called, at the end of every name, "Studio's"!

Yes but the pacing is awful...

The setup is slow, but, that is mostly because of the audience participation part of it. Other then that I always felt that it went pretty fast. Moving the original rolling rock set out of the way takes some time as well, but, I can't think of any way to make that go faster either. That's a big set!

I totally get that many people haven't seen it, but many people haven't seen Universe of Energy. That shouldn't be the reason management says it's still good to go.

The gags are outdated and the entire show seems old, I suspect even if it's your first time.

At least change the script and add some new effects.
