Does anyone recommend PhotoPass?

Here are scans of my last photopass pics. The scan lines are from my scanner, not the pics!

Here are some posed ones as well as some unposed- I bought the CD before they allowed you to save the borders and enhancements on it, so that's why they are plain.

This is from DLR, but still Photopass

and then some candid ones......

Personally, I like photopass becasue while the posed ones are good, I like candid ones better. If you have children that are going to see characters, it is really helpful- when it's their turn, kids don't wait until their parents are ready. They sprint up to the characters, while mom or dad is fumbling for the autograph books as well as the camera, so who catches the candid shots of the happy faces meeting characters?? photopass.

sorry they're so big- if I knew how to just do thumbnails I would!

We love Photopass and we highly recommend it, just be sure you have plenty of pictures taken or it's not really worth it. Here are some of my favorites...

We have not purchased it before. I did get a card and I had a few pictures taken to see how they would look and they did a great job. We were so rushed on our last trip that we didn't have time to make the most of it but we will the next time we go. I think that it is a great idea, if you have a lot of pictures made. :)

I thought the photo pass was great. I am a single mom so If I didn't have the photo pass I would be in no pictures! It was also nice to let them take the pictures at the meet and greets that way I could video tape. I think it was worth the money...whats another 100? :) Plus you can add fun borders and these are added to your cd too.

We used PhotoPass for the first time this past OCt/Nov.........it was GREAT! The wife and I have 3 kids.........a 5 yr old, a 2 yr old and one who was 11 mos at the time......we have NEVER, in 5 previous trips, been able to have a family picture in front of the castle or anywhere else, until we used PhotoPass.

They not only got the great "posed" pics for us, but got some AWESOME candid pics of our kids with the characters as well! We paid a little over $100 and got the CD with all of the 60+ pictures on it! We can email them, print them, etc........to me, the memories are well worth the money we spent.

DH and I absolutely loved the PhotoPass. It was very well worth it. We used the discount Photopass CD for $99 and we booked a photo session at the GF for $25. We even added our MVMCP and our CRT photos on the CD as well!!! We'll use it again on our next trip in 2010 or 2011.

We purchased the cd last year. We enjoyed it so much that we will purchase it again this year. I think we had around a 100 pix. Most were from bbb & ppp. We loved the extra options that you can order also( the xmas cards and such) AND you own the copyright witch will save you $. Do the math 17 dollars for a 5x7 X 10 pix= 170 . So 100 dollars is a bargain. The more pix the better. we were recommened to buy the cd when we got home. I believe this allows you to add borders, captions, and such. and save the pix several different ways. Hope that helps.

We are going to be in DW on Feb 1st. This will be our 7th trip in 5 years, but we never get the Photo Pass. They offer a CD of all your photos. Does anyone have any insight about PhotoPass? Is it worth it. Right now, I can get it for $99. Is that a good deal?

FYI - If you buy a photopass CD you can also get a free, private photo shoot (about 75 photos) at the Grand Floridian and all photos from the shoot will be added to your CD.

Love photopass. It's great. It costs nothing unless you actually want to purchase photos. Not sure I'd want to pre-purchase it though. I find that I don't always find the photographers. I'd hate to pre-purchase and then not take advantage of it. You can always get the photopass for free, wait till you get home and preview the photo's and decide which you want. I usually end up with the CD, but have occasionally only wanted on pic. AT any rate, it's a great service. Use it.

I have done the photo pass my last three trips and love it. The last time we were there we had a photo package done at Grand Floridian and they loaded all of our pictures from our parks photo pass onto the one with our family pictures done at Grand Floridian, which made the $125 a bargain. The only drawback to purchasing the disc instead of ordering individual pictures is not being able to add the really cool Disney borders.

Can someone tell me more info about the photo set at the GF? Thanks! Also, how to pre-order the photopass so I can save some $$.

You can add borders etc when you order the CD at home, but not if you order it at the parks. It takes a long time to go through them all and edit etc, but is well worth it!

Speaking of parents not being in pics: One time my DS was looking through some vacation pics (not at Disney) and asked me, "Mommy, were you there with us?"! So, yes, I love Photopass so I can be in pics. Plus, we have gotten a lot of wonderful, fun pics. One of my favs is DH and I "toasting" with our Dole Whip Floats in front of the Castle on our anniversary trip.

PS Love the Captain Hook picture....I haven't seen that option yet....my boys would love that pose! Hope we can have that option in April!

Thanks for all the great advice. I'll definately be getting the Photopass CD.

One last question, though. How do you print the pictures? Can you bring them to the store to get printed, because I have a crappy printer. Also, when you add graphics to the pictures, where do you save those pictures and how do you print those?

When you order the CD online, you can add borders etc right then. Then, you save the "edited" picture....so when you order the CD, the original pictures and edited pictures are all on the CD. Did I make sense?

You can bring the CD to any place that prints out digital pictures....I bring mine to a local pharmacy chain that always do a great job. I sit and pick out which ones I want printed, just like when I print out pictures I have taken. When you buy the CD, you have purchased the copyright as well so you can print, enlarge etc.

Hope this helps!

It is worth it if you use it to the max. When we went in April 2006 we had about 13 photos on it, of which I purchased 3.

However when we visited last year in April we knew exactly how it worked and made sure that every time we saw a photopass person we went over and asked for photos. Often the photographers would spend ages taking lots of different shots and so we ended up with about 200 in total.

When we got home we had lots of fun adding borders etc and then once the disc arrived I went to ASDA (the Brit version of Wal Mart) and got them printed up for my album. Everyone who looked at it was very impressed.

We are going again this Easter and will do the same again.

I can only add my voice to everybody else who says that PP is a great idea.

We had approx 125 photos taken, and by the time we'd edited them, added signatures & borders etc it was close to 250. The CD costs the same no matter how many pictures are on it.
You can also ask for some of the stranger pics - in the AK they asked my wife to pose as if cradling a baby, and when we got the pic they had added a newborn Simba in her arms!

It's the easiest way to get your whole group in a picture and the Photopass CMs will gladly take a picture with your camera as well.

Sorry to repeat what others have said, but I thought it was a great service.
