I don't know what happens to me, but I wait for Christmas since the beginning of October every year! :xmas: Maybe it's because we don't have halloween here. Not the same way you guys have. But I really wish we had Thanksgiving. It's such a beautiful holiday, and people here don't even know what it is.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Thanksgiving is my second favorite.

Why?

I don't mind the day itself, spending time with my folks and eating too much. But a few years in retail made me see just how obnoxious the public gets in the run up to Christmas. The ammount of abuse Joe public threw at me was astounding. Plus seeing them argue amonst themselves and getting stressed out over getting the right present. Not to mention running up huge debts so little Jimmy can have the latest soccer uniform and computer games.

Also listening to an hour tape of Christmas music for two straight months will drive you batty.

Lastly, since I lost my faith even that part has no meaning - and let's face it, it's supposed to be a celebration of the birth of Christ. I've just taken a luchtime stroll around town and the shop shelves already have Christmas gifts for sale.

You are expected to love Christmas, yet you get looked upon as if you have three heads for stating otherwise.

Yes, I know I was just saying a statement that many customers always said to me while I worked at Target last year. We started to put up the chirstmas stuff early and i had customers come up to me and say, man thanks for reminding me, and cant we get past Halloween first..

I had always seen it on tv and thought it was beautiful looking, but when i went there in person in january last year...wow is was so pretty i did not want to leave.
