Does anyone else just not have any idea when they are going next?

Everyone seems to know exactly when their next trip is, and I'm really sad because I don't have an idea of when I'm going next. My last trip was in August and I'm probably not going for another couple of years - I can afford to go, but my parents are going at a time when I still have classes, and my boyfriend can't afford to go for a while.

Just had to get that off my chest...anyone else in the same boat as me??

We have nothing planned either. I wanted to go this year but it's not going to happen. The money just isn't there and my hubby's school schedule doesn't work for us. I thought maybe just maybe we could go the first week of June in 2009. My hubby will have graduated from his masters program by then and the kids will be out of school for the summer. I don't mind pulling them from school but he can't miss so we have to either wait for summer or wait till sometime in the fall. I just can't wait that long. I haven't been since Dec 2006.

I knew when I planned this last trip that it would be the last one for a few years. College tuition (including one required semester overseas) is where the funds will be going for the next 4 years, or 5 if you count grad school. But I feel blessed to have been able to twice in 13 months, and will have to experience the Magic vicariously through everyone's pictures and trip reports on these boards. We are thinking a Land&Sea package would be a good graduation present......

Sorry to say that we know exactly when we are going, this March on a Grand Gathering at AKLV, then again in Aug at SSR with some family friends. But we're not sure when we may go because our 20th anniversary is Aug of 09 and we want to take the cruise. So between this Aug and Aug of 09 we may not take a trip.

We just came back last week but, the trip was not a good one due to the behavior of one of the other family's that joined us. I am trying to convince my DH to go again in December for our 15th wedding anniversary but, he says NO! Well, at first he said he might go but, without the kids. I don't want to do that because the kids also had a bad vacation because of that family and I just don't think it would be fair for us to go and not them. I know this if we go in December it will be our last one for a while because next year my DD will be in 7th grade (2008-2009) and the following year is her 8th grade year and she specifically requested that we not take her out of school in 8th grade(it's a big year for her). Then it's on to High School and I wouldn't take her out then. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for December but, I think this past trip was our last for a very long while!:(:(:(

When we returned from our December trip we crashed off that Disney-high big time. I think we were still feeling it at Christmas. Wasn't long into January that I started cooking up the anniversary trip in May. I'm already starting to work things out for December this year, too. In between coming home from the last trip and beginning to work out plans for the next trip(s) I was definitely in a funk. Very blah. Not motivated to do a whole lot. At the time I didn't get it. Looking at it now, I do. I think that may be a big indication that I have a real problem. I'm a Disney addict. :hammer:

Well, we 'might' be making a trip to Orlando this year...or not. DH has a business conference the second week in September and DD3 and I would like to go down with him. The two of us could hang out at the parks while he does his 'work' thing. We wouldn't be staying on-site but the hotel (Omni) has a free shuttle to WDW. We could then visit Sea World and Universal on his days off (DH is not as Disney-fied as the rest of us!)

However, it is the first week of preschool for DD, so she would miss that. I am also concerned about the heat/crowds at that time with just me as the parent. I want to go, but I also know that if we DO go, it will push another family trip to WDW off just that much further.

After that, it could be YEARS before we get to go again...

WE just got back from our 6th trip in 6 years. Now my DH is saying "definitely NO!" to a trip next year. He wants to go to Hawaii. I am trying to stay positive and I know that it will be nice, but it ain't the Mouse!!! I, too, am a Disney addict and want my Disney fix. Might have to sneak down when DH goes on a work trip!!! :lookaroun

Well, we were supposed to leave tomorrow. But stuff happens and the first thing to go is a vacation. We haven't been since Feb. 2006. I guess we will just aim for next year.
