I usually keep room keys, and who doesn't keep the soaps and shampoos?

My sister keeps a few other things, including Fastpasses, for her scrapbook.

You think that's weird? I ask people I know who are visiting WDW (or DLR) to bring me back stacks of napkins, guidemaps, and times guides from the parks.

Last time was the first time we stayed onsite. Yes we took soap and shampoo. We took pictures of the inside of the room, the door, the room number, everything. We didn't take the TP though, we may next time though.
The folder that they give you when you check in leaves with us stuffed with receipts and any miscellaneous papers that I gather during the vacation.

I think it is safe to say that you are not alone.

Yes! I always take pictures of the room and views out the window. I love the soaps and shampoos too. Since we live close to the mouse, I put them out when we have over night guests for just an extra special touch...and they take them home. :ROFLOL: But, we don't take the TP. :D

We started visiting WDW in '84 when Big Norm was 3yrs old. Up until 2005, we had only missed one year going. We have several scrapbooks that have maps, room keys, tickets, parking passes, popcorn boxes, ice cream wrappers, receipts, albums of pictures galore, books that we purchased telling about the building of WDW, cookbooks from Brown Derby, the soaps and shampoos, and that is just to mention a few of the things we have. But the really cool part, is that we have them for every year. We even have one that has the different Disney dollars in it, for every year since they started handling them. Since we have been unable to go for two years and probably will not get to go until 2010, these articles are my Disney fix. Big Norm has his bathroom done in MM border and themed. He has shower curtain, drinking cup, soap dish, clock, and bathroom canisters all in Mickey. The room is painted to represent Mickey, and this too gives us our Disney fix. His guest bathroom is Pirates of the Caribbean. With the figure's and the boat and painted with sky, clouds and water, but I digress. Without these things I would not feel so close to Disney and not be able to go. This forum helps me so much, although it does make me sad:cry: because I am not there. Sorry to carry on, everyone have a great day.

Yeah i always take the soaps and shampoos too, i love looking at the maps and things from when i first went in 1993, sometimes these bring back the best memories!! x

we usually take everything, too. We have a couple of the check in envelopes with all the stuff in there. For my husband and I we have a long standing competition over mini golf, so we have all of our score cards from over the years to bring out whenever we seem to "disagree" over who is the reining champ.
we also keep the soap and stuff. our daughter got into one of the bars of soap a little while ago, and the smell of that soap just brings you right back to wdw.

Ever since i got the Disney bug in 1986, at the end of every trip...I always take pictures of the room, take all of the papers they give you at check-in, etc...
Sometimes i even take the toilet paper rolls wrapped in the mickey mouse paper. Does anyone ever do this too? It's always so hard to go home after visiting such a magical place.

I don't steal toilet paper, but I do take pictures of the room, the door (so I can always remember which room number I had) and I do keep the papers from check in. So you're not alone.
