Do You Think Journey To The Center Of The Earth Will Come To WDW?

(Inspired by another recent thread about DLP's Mystic Manor).

Tokyo DisneySea's Journey To The Center Of The Earth has been deemed by many as the greatest Disney attraction ever created. Though it once was rumored to be cloned at DAK, things now appear as if it may be the greatest Disney attraction we never get to see at WDW. :( Yes, that is a sad thought.

This brilliantly-themed ride into the pages of Jules Verne uses pretty much the same ride concept as Epcot's Test Track, and DCA's Radiator Springs Racers. If RSR finds it's way onto DHS grounds some year soon, that may very well be the final nail in the coffin for us ever getting to see JCE make it's way to WDW (I highly doubt WDW would have 3 of the same major ride concepts at multiple parks...though omnimovers and spinners may disagree with that statement).

But could there still be a glimmer of hope? Even a tiny speck of a chance? Surely some upper-up's ears have heard the cries & pleas from fans to bring this stellar ride to American soil. Reading trip reports & reviews from those lucky enough to have visited Tokyo DisneySea, that is always the first thing commented on: "Why can't WDW or DLR get a version of Journey??" So surely upper mgmt. knows the demand. There was even an hour-long Travel Channel special on WDW which showed a brief glimpse of the monster from JCE during the segment on future plans. Why tease us like this, Disney, if you're not going to follow through??

So what chance, if any, does WDW still have of receiving it's own version of the one attraction which could very easily put all other dark rides to shame? Will JCE forever remain a staple attraction for Tokyo DisneySea alone, and only a small percentage of us getting the chance to experience it's splendor first-hand? Or will Disney listen to the demands of the people and bring this adventure to Orlando or Anaheim?

WEll rumors are we might not even get radiator springs due to its similarity to test track system already, same goes for Journey to the center of the earth however like most people who want the rides cloned I really hope we get something else, new and original to our park instead! journey to the center of the earth is a great attraction so is MM but if we are going to put something in walt disney world I hope it won't be another clone and instead an attraction crafted and made beautifully for our park something new to experience. And besides knowing how budget oriented or parks our if we did get JCE it would be condensed and toned down :/

I see no chance. As of now, every student in my Japanese class freaked out when I mentioned wanting to have a JCE in WDW. They weren't being rude or anything it's just that Tokyo wants to keep its unique attractions fully unique. Now if they'd quit trying to get on my phone... I would try to explain, in English what they want to tell you. (Yes I am in class right now, I get Internet connection at my school, and I have a few friends here whom are currently intrigued in my doings on this site) DisneySea is a beautiful park! (Even though I have never seen it) Japanese imagineers and American Imagineers designed it to be a gigantic upgrade from the small, bland Toyko Disney. It was intended to be built as a park that differs from all of the other Disney's. It really is" nothing like Disney has built before," (as I am told by the shouting in my ear) JCE was one attraction that was actually intended to be built over in WDW but never did because it was something that kept Disneysea special.

As much as I'd love to be wrong, it's not coming here. It's too expensive to build. Plus, if Radiator Springs Racers comes, having 3 rides use the Test Track ride system is a bit much.

Still, I'd love for it to happen...

That's a shame, too. I think attractions in the caliber of JCE should be shared abroad, just like we have various ToT's, HM's, POTC's, Splash's, RNRC's, etc across the globe at various locations... JCE too should be a cloned classic.

Sad Disney does not see it this way. :(

Bollox, this didn't prevent the imagineers from finding a way to travel to an undersea sea base from EPCOT either!

And all that it took was a couple of small fish, 3 sharks, and some stoner sea turtles, that could talk and poof your elevator ride to the sea base became a underwater hell... At least it was easy to swim back to the surface. I do not want to imagine the pain and suffering people would have to go thru as they claw their way back to the earths surface, as soon as the life forms in the center of earth started talking.....:D

I don't know. I do wish they'd get to work on WDW. Make it newer, cleaner, sharper, snazzier, more impressive and more fun!

I have mixed feelings on clones. I do like them, but I want all parks to have wonderful and unique rides, too.
