Hey again guys.....I was just thinking about something...I am a Disney fanatic like the rest of you...I love everything Disney..the movies, the parks, the cruise ships, the characters, .....I love it all. The only thing Disney that I really DON'T like is the Disney Channel. I'll be honest with you, I NEVER watch it....The Disney Channel is the one channel that I just never watch. I'm sorry, it's horrible. I know that the shows on Disney Channel are for tweens and little kids...and I doubt that they would do a drastic change to the channel....but I sure do wish they would create another channel that was classic Disney. Nothing but classic Disney shows, classic Disney movies, classic Disney cartoons....none of this Hannah Montana, Suite Life, High School Musical, So Raven, and all those other tween shows...none of that! Just the classic Disney shows! And none of those odd new cartoons that they are showing that looks like it belongs on the Cartoon Network and not Disney...no!! Nothing but classic cartoons featuring classic Disney characters. I really do wish Disney would do this. Would be nice! I miss the classic stuff.

I could not said it better myself. I heard that the Disney Junior channel starting on 2/14/11 will air some of the older movies. If you check all 3 disney channels and ABC Family they will show some classic movies ever so often, but not often enough. Maybe they should start the Classic Disneychannel for grownups that aren't that grown up

I would love a classic Disney channel..all the old cartoons and such..reruns of the Old Mickey Mouse Club.. yes yes yes..

I despise the Disney Channel after the normal "preschool" cartoons are over for the day.. I have kids and I really dislike the teens on pretty much all Disney Channel shows.. they are not a good example for kids!

"Classic Disney channel for grown ups that aren't that grown up!" ...ha! I love it! So funny yet so true! When it comes to Disney, I will never grow up. My wife jokes with me all the time saying.."well, I've already got one kid...you!!!"

My 8 month old has been watching Playhouse Disney since he was about 3 months old. Every morning we put on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse & proceed to also watch Handy Manny, Timmy Time, Special Agent Oso, Chuggington & I'm sure there are more. Once Playhouse Disney time is over, the Disney Channel is turned off. (Unless my husband is home...he loves Phineas & Ferb)

Does anyone know if Disney Junior is going to be it's own separate channel or if it's just going to replace the current Playhouse time slot?

As far as the other shows go, I could totally do without them too. Every once in awhile I'll catch a Disney movie on in the evening but usually it's those stupid tween shows.

:)My kids love the Disney Channel. My little one loves The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It's a great way for kids to see Mickey Mouse. What other way are there to watch him besides on a DVD?

I'm curious to see what happens with the Disney Junior channel. There looks like a new pirate show that my little guy would enjoy.:)

The original Disney Channel had more 'adult' content and some good shows about the parks. Go to youtube and look for Disney World Inside Out

I agree as well! My daughter watches Playhouse Disney for 4 years now, but some of the shows on now are not top notch in my opinion, obviously Mickey Mouse Club House and Handy Manny I love, but they took off some great ones that I am not so happy about, the tween shows are great for them, but for us classic Disney toons would be great. I am interested to see what Disney junior has to offer:)

I think disney channel is trying to figure out who there main audience it and what they like. Obviously, little kids watch Disney Channel so therefore they need to have a "Disney Junior" and a lot of kids watch it who are under the age of 10. After that the Disney Channel just dies. But it didn't used to be like that. I remember when I was younger me and my mom would watch the Disney Channel and the Wonderful World of Disney every weekend.
Today flipping threw the channels, I saw that the movie smart house was on Disney Channel. Then after that it was Up up and away and then when I went to the cafe for lunch, the color of friendship was playing. Over 50 college students were eating their lunch and talking about Disney channel and how good the movies they were playing today were. I think Disney needs to create a separate channel, something like "Family Disney" Where they show old cartoons, Old family shows that made everyone laugh and not just little kids (such as boy meets world), maybe even shows that focus on the parks/magic behind the parks or learning about the different resorts.

Since my son watches Disney Channel like they are about to take it away, I have noticed that they do show portions of the old Mickey cartoons between shows.

It's no Quack Attack, but it's better than nothing.

I say convert Disney XD into Disney Classics, then merge XD's content into the regular Disney Channel, removing the worst of the content. Considering that most of it is bad, it shouldn't be a terribly difficult task.

For the most part, I'm the same way. I don't like Disney Channel, but I like almost everything else. As of late, I don't particularly like the way they have handled the games division (stopping MMOs, buying social game developers), but Epic Mickey is one of my favorite games, so it's not all bad. They have had a couple of bad movies over the past few years, but most of them have been at least decent, with several excellent movies. As for the parks, WDW has been declining, but it's still one of the greatest resorts out there.

That is something I would totally get into, I would love to see all of the older Disney movies and television shows, maybe even reruns of the Disneyland show; Wonderful World of Disney, and Colorful World of Disney shows they aired on Sunday nights.
I can remember various shows that we used to watch and from time to time I see them released on DVD, but that gets expensive to get/rent them all. I got the book "The Disney Films" by Leonard Maltin and would love to see many of those movies created by Disney.

Wonderful world of Disney would be awesome. With multiple disney channels one dedicated to all Disney movies with Disney travel shows from the travel channel included would make me happy.

Disney Junior will replace Playhouse Disney in that timeslot. Personally, I cant STAND special agent oso, jungle junction and Manny and Kelly need to just screw and get it over with. lol

I wish there was a channel that showed the movies, old and new, older cartoons, old MM club, and the specials from the parks.

I remember about 10 years ago that they had a Vault Disney block airing at midnight. I used to stay up late, sometimes getting in trouble, just to watch Zorro, Moochie and The Adventures of Spin and Marty. I know the target audience of the DC probably wouldn't be interested in these kinds of shows, but I would love to see something like that return because there are many wonderful classics out there. At least they've released some of the shows on Disney Treasures!

This is such a no brainer....The audience that they will appeal to is just the audience they need (the bread winner) the ones who foot the bill to go to the resorts. It would be such a great way to conjur up all those Disney memories, the nastalgia. Squeeze some resort commercials between the movies....

You kidding me, Have a classic Disney movie evey night at 8:00. Old Yeller' Petes Dragon. One week have a Herbie Love bug week. Have Wonderful World of disney at 4:00 or 5:00. So much of the parks are classic charecter driven. Try to build a relationship between these charecters and the young people of today. Classic Disney is forever.

There are so many Classic disney cartoons they could play them all mourning long. Then play them at night after 10:00 Heck let me program this chanel. It would be a total hit.You could still throw in some newer Disney movies...UP, Haunted Mansion etc etc. How about showing some Silly Symphonies...Disney has been produceing stuff for over 80 years.

Come on Disney...This is to easy.

I remember the Disney Channel in the late 80's and early 90's, when I was a kid. The featured such quality programming as Moussercise, Mickey Mouse Club, and my personal favorite...Kids Incorporated.

I'll never forget that theme song...

I guess I am in the minority here. I am an adult and I happen to like the Disney Channel for the most part. Disney has enough channels that they could meet everyone's needs.
