Do you think a Batman or Superman attraction would be good in Disney?

Technically, Uni should be suing Six Flags. Superman & Batman are honorary Avengers and, according to some very loose interpretations hear, that's violating the contract.

...huh? Batman and Superman don't even exist in the same universe as the Avengers, as they're owned by two different companies. And you can't sue Six Flags for using characters they have a licensing deal to use, just as Disney can't wrestle Marvel from Universal just because they feel like it.

I think he's talking about the run of crossover comics they did as Amalgam and honourary memberships were handed out like candy.

Yes. According to some here, just meeting the Avengers counts as being part of the family, ergo Six Flags must be brought to ruination! Also, any time Jay Leno visits a park that's not Uni, he's in violation of contract as he's technically a Spider-Man character.

Unfortunately this also prevents Disney from making a 1991 Montreal Expos dark ride (because you just KNOW they'd love to).

I think Batman is too dark for Disney, sadly. And since Six Flags has the rights- but yes, I agree, those have been squandered. Slapping a picture of the Joker next to a roller coaster is not the immersive theming I'd love to see for such iconic characters.

Another Six Flags waste- Looney Tunes. Not sure who dropped the ball on that but talk about letting a popular IP fade into obscurity....

I'm pretty sure they already lost the Thomas the Tank Engine IP...not that they did much with it anyway.

Kinda sad that there's a lot of potential that goes to waste with these properties.

If anything I'd say DC Comics goes better in a Universal park rather than Disney. If they replaced Marvel Superhero Island with a DC Island, or a Metropolis/Gotham City crossover, that could actually be cool.

IF you were ever to see Batman in Disney, most likely it would be based on or heavily influenced by the Adam West show, as that was broadcast on ABC, something I didn't realize for years and I wondered why a FOX produced show featuring characters owned by WB was referenced at all in DHS.

ABC was not owned by Disney in the 60s when Batman was new. And DC Comics was not owned by Warner Brothers at the time either. It's the reason it took until 2014 for the Adam West Batman series to be released on DVD - when WB bought DC Comics, it didn't include the rights to the show, so WB owned the character, Fox owned the show and it took forever for a deal to be struck.

Know what that reminds me of? Marvel Team-Up. It's been forever since I read a comic, but one I had a subscription to a bit as a kid was Marvel Team-Up where, each month, Spider-Man had a one-off adventure with another superhero. Well, at least it was always Spider-man with another hero when I subscribed, apparently it would sometimes be two different characters, neither one Spider-man. But at least one time, Spider-Man wasn't even teamed up with a hero (or a villain, or any character associated with comic books). One Team-Up had Peter Parker taking MJ to see Saturday Night Live during it's late 70s original-cast heyday, only to find out John Belushi's life was in danger due to the wrath of the Silver Samurai. Apparently Belushi was sent a ring by accident with mystic properties the Silver Samurai wanted. So that issue it was Spider-Man Meets The Not-Ready-For-Primetime Players.

And now I think they should be honorary Avengers. I know some people who'd love to ride the Wild Belushi roller coaster at IoA. Thought you may only be able to ride it once...

Between Star Wars, Marvel, Frozen, and all the other IP trends that are threatening to destroy some classic Disney parkage...I'd sure hope not...I don't think I can do any more IP...I've had enough...

Though, I'd fully support a Goonies attraction...

I'd rather see an Incredibles attraction.

But since you ask the question seriously, I would believe that there is no great difference to a kid or a family vacation between seeing an Iron Man attraction (Disneyland) or seeing a Batman attraction. Like others who have responded, my first thoughts for a Batman or Superman coaster is "Six Flags." Likewise, my first thought at Captain America or Spiderman is Universal Studios, Florida.

But when I see "The Incredibles," my mind is instantly on Pixar and Disney.

My thoughts exactly.
