Oh Yes I show my inner disney everyday . Get up in the morning take a shower with my mickey soap and shampoo , dry with my disney towels, brush my teeth my my mickey toothbrush, put on a disney sweatshirt under my work uniform ( winter months ) , put on my mickey jacket either my leather or denim one or lightweight. Go to work were I am known as the one to ask for questions if you are going to disney . They know every halloween I will be a disney character. They know were I am going on vacation they are even starting to figure out when. When I got married in September they knew not to ask where I was honeymooning. Those that were invited from work knew I would have mickey and minnie on top of my wedding cake, they were just suprised to see me and my wife walk into the reception wearing our Mickey and Minnie groom and bride hats. I come home from work in my car with a mickey attenna topper watching some disney entertainment , put on my mickey flannel pjs or mickey shorts and t-shirt say goodnight to stuffed mickey sitting on my nightstand and little mickey on the bookshelf say goodnight to Minnie on my wifes nightstand and sleep on our Mickey sheets. Then if I happen to be off I am on this computer with the cinderalla castle screen savers and backgrounds  :D :sohappy:

Being a male in college, I am given guff all the time regarding my Figment obsession. I don't have any Figment shirts, but I talk about him incessantly, so I would count that. My roommates find my WDW park music odd, too.

Whatever you do.... don't hide your true Figment pride. My younger brother... probably same age as you is all about the little guy.

What a question! I have to say that being a male makes it much harder on one's self to display Disney outside of the parks. None of my friends, co-workers or family share any of the enthusiasm I have for the Disney Co. But that doesn't stop me from purchasing merchandise and showing the world I'm a fan! I get a lot of compliments when I use my Disney Visa card at several locations, but only from women. A guy wouldn't be comfortable saying "cool card dude!" so hidden under all that testosterone are probably a lot of guys who love Disney, but they're not about to show it. I got over that a long time ago and just accepted the influence Disney has had on me because we all need to be driven by something.
Oh and one more thing...my iPod is filled with park audio and yes I listen to that in my vehicle and at work...but I don't sit at stop lights next to punk teenagers with my windows down trying to outbass them with One Little Spark!

I'll be an oddball and say, no. I don't show my inner-Disney. Largely because my inner-Disney has never compelled me to buy merch. I love the parks and I love the movies, but I've never found myself saying, "MAN, I wish I had a shirt with Disney stuff on it!" Which is weird, considering I have a small collection of Nintendo, Mr. T, Ghostbusters, Evil Dead and Godzilla shirts... so buying clothing with stuff I love on it isn't beyond me...

WAIT, take that back. I DO have a Test Track shirt. It's really cool and simple though. Light blue, with the attraction's logo and name on it. If I could find more stuff like that I'd probably have more Disney merch to brag about.

I discuss Disney alot and I sometimes get picked on about it but I don't care. I would have an antenna topper on my car if it had an antenna.

I wear my Disney t-shirts to they gym and around the house, but don't really have alot of Disney clothing. But you better believe people still know I'm a Disney-holic.

So to answer your question, YES, I show my inner Disney outside the parks.

How about those who've done internships there?

I find myself doing the open palmed or two fingered point all the time. You cannot make me point with one finger anymore! I still keep my nails disney regulation length, and when someone asks me what to wear to certain occasions sometimes the only answer I can think of is "you know, Disney cas' ".

Aside from that, I've got 8 disney related things on my desk right now at work... not counting my desktop which is a picture of the "partners" statue at MK.

I wear Disney golf/T-shirts to work three or four days a week minimum. If I have to wear a suit [very rarely], I always wear a Disney tie! I have some Disney frames and a flashing Mickey brooch hanging on my workstation.

I have a couple of tee shirts that I wear often. They are mostly short-sleeved since I usually buy them while I'm in FL. I have antenna toppers that I like to change out and some pins. I also have started a Disney charm bracelet and will add onto it as I make visits down. I think you should wear what makes you comfortable. People wear shirts that advertise other things, sometimes not as positive as WDW, so no one should ever judge what you are wearing. It is your body and your choice to deck yourself out in Disney garb. Go for it! ETA: my husband has several WDW shirts, socks and leisure pants. Every real man should wear Disney attire!

I would say YES and proud of it. WDW shirts, antenna topper for hubby's car and magnet for my car. Mickey key chain, coffee mug and of course our daughter loves her disney attire.

We don't really stand out though because we live near WDW and we have a lot of tourist here. Not that tourist are a bad thing.

Right now I am wearing an AKL hat and a "Change your Latitude" shirt with Donald on it.

I wear some form of WDW attire almost every day. In regards to pin lanyards and ears, I try to save that for the parks, for me it adds to the magic of being there.

if you ever came to our house you would see our love for disney. decorative plates hang in the kitchen, two huge fine art portraits of cruella and maleficent hang in the living room, a curio cabinet filled to the edges of collectibles, bookcases filled with disney books, and on, and on.

however, hubby and i do not usually wave our disney "freak" flag. my hubby is a bit a grown up punk rocker who has LOVED disney since he was a kid. but being the alpha male he is, he reserves almost all of his disney apparel for trips to disney. it's like he is a walking dichotomy of punk and prep. i on the other hand, wear my disney clothes moderately. but if you call my cell phone, i have disney ringback tones-the bare necessities, a dream is a wish your heart makes, etc.
almost every day, there is at least one disney movie being played for the 3 year old. not to mention, mickey mouse club house is a not to be missed morning program.

we are sneaky disney fans on the exterior, but die hards on the inside:animwink:.

The Disney spirit for me is simply whatever is inside you, and I never hide that. I love experiencing new things, exploring new worlds, and meeting new people. I think everyone is important, and that no one person is better than anyone else. And I think I can learn something from every person I meet. That's what I learned growing up Disney, and that's how I live my life each day.

We show our inner Disney at home, but we're pretty subtle about it. We both have a few Disney shirts and my husband has a jacket I bought him years ago with a little mickey on it. I can't really get into the shirts with the huge characters all over them, though, I love seeing them on people in the parks!

Everyone (family, friends, co-workers) knows we're huge Disney fans and they're pretty accepting of it! My husband's co-workers are always asking for advice on trip-planning and his office at work has some Disney items in it!

We do have some items at home that we display, but again pretty subtle. You almost wouldn't realize they're there unless you really look. We do have quite a few sericels on display in our home office. I see no reason to hide our inner Disney...it usually opens up conversations with people when they find out! :D

Inner Disney???

I suppose I could show my Inner Disney, but then I'm all about Disney. I even considered getting out of the Marine Corps to go work Disney Security. Never be ashamed of who you are. My wife and I proudly show our Disney stuff. My whole family is Disney in some way. Grandparents started it, we grandkids uphold it. I have/had Stitch(my fav) and Grumpy(#2) stickers on my truck, and car. I have Disney post its on my fridge. For a while my collection of Stitch and Grumpy shirts was in the teens. I even have a Stitch hat that I wear. If it wasn't for my Inner Disney one of my Marines wouldn't be taking his wife there for their honeymoon. I look at it this way. I'm a US Marine, go ahead and tell me if you think Disney is childish. I'll kick your butt!!! Just kidding to a point. Hey, Disney is more than a resort or a vacation destination. It's an attitude and to some of us out there a way of life. Walt Disney was a visionary in alot of ways. Were all just lucky enough to be around to share in it with others. Semper Fidelis, Ohana and May the Force be with YOU!!!
