Do you show your inner Disney outside of the parks?

I have several Grumpy shirts that I wear & usually will buy anyone I don't have if I see one @ K-Mart, Wal-Mart, or anywhere for that matter. I also own a Grumpy hockey jersey & football jersey that I wear often. On the other hand I'm the kind of person who could care less what other people think of me. :D

My roommates find my WDW park music odd, too.

Haha, I can totally relate to that! However, I can proudly say that my best friend, and roomie, after living with me for over two years, now actually KNOWS a lot of the WDW music I play. She always surprises me when she casually asks something like, "Oh is this Illuminations?" YES! It is!

But I definitely wear my inner Disney like a giant red heart on my sleeve. I've always been the Disney-go-to-girl. I'm a self-proclaimed Disney dork and I love it!

Oh, yes my inner Disney is like a lighthouse that shines everywhere! People ask me how many times I've been to DW this year and the response is usally 2-3. During Spring and summer 2/3 of my clothes are Disney. I've done a major history project on Disneyland, have almost every book on Walt, Imagineering and other stuff. I also have Figment in my room near a MS poster.

Oh yeah and everyone and I mean everyone knows that I have wanted to be an Imagineer since 5K.
And that's only half of it.

Oh yeah if you thought Tigger was bad look at what Mickey and Goofy did to Homer! DOH!:drevil::ROFLOL:

I wake up every morning under the best of Mickey sheets and stuff. I make my bed with 8 different stuffed Mickey's and a Minnie (I get a new one almost every time I go) I wear Disney clothing when ever I can (capris, shoes, shirts, polos, fleece, etc.). Everyday I have on my charm bracelett that I add a new Disney charm or two every time, my Mickey watch and my Mickey ear rings. At school, I use a Minnie pen and have several at home. I also have princess post-its at school to. My students love them. I also work in and ice rink. My jacket there has several pins on it and a stuffed Mickey key chain hanging off one of the zippers. I wear my Disney shirts so often that people have asked me if I worked there. There are even Mickey stickers on the bottoms of my skates. I have tons of attena toppers for my car and change them often. I also have a DVC sticker on my car. My check are sorcer Mickey and i use my Diseny credit card all the time.

I'm sure there is more but that's all I can think of right now.

Friends and family consider my house a "shrine" to disney: Lithograph cells, Birnbuam books, Towels, Coasters, Cookware, Mugs, Coffee, etc. all throughout! During Christmas, we have 2 trees, a "regular" tree and a special "disney" tree filled with disney ornaments. And while a "regular" train goes around the "regular" tree, the monorail complete with all 4 theme parks and all the resorts (currently available) plus some rides/attractions makes its way around our disney tree! Then there is the antenea toppers, t-shirts, socks (and soon to be worn) bride/groom mickey ears (and matching doggie bride ears :animwink: ). I even run to the theme park music!! People think its odd and sometimes I get the strange look, but it doesn't bother me, they are missing out!

I have a couple watches, jackets, baseball caps, scrub tops, and lots of tee shirts. In fact I think at least half of my tees are from WDW. I am always complimented on my "'Tigger... Is that you?' Pooh" Animal Kingdom shirt. And my office set is classic Mickey Mouse.

All it takes is for my Mickey earrings to appear ONE DAY and everyone is like "You're going again?!?!" I just smile and say "Yes I am." I just don't get people who just don't get it.

As a family we have a lots of apparel from Disney. We get new shirts everytime we visit. I use disney pens almost exclusively at work. The people my husband I work with have just come to expect it from us.

They don't get the need we have to get away - but when we visit Disney we can forget everything! Our whole year is planned around our trips. When my daughter starts real school - I don't know what we are going to do not being able to go more than once a year :)

I also finished setting up my disney garden today. I bought the Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Goofy garden status from disney shopping.com

Ha, Ha! I almost forgot about our Disney ornaments. We have a zillion. I would like to buy the Disney train to go around the tree. We have pooh on the top of our x-mas tree and when my mom comes over to our house, she always says "that's just wrong - you should have an angel up there" even though we're not religious! Too funny.

I'm a 17 year old girl. And its not particularly "cool" to show my inner disney... but i do it any way because for some reason its just what im oddly passionate about.
My car is called "the tink-mobile". First of all, Its green. I have a tink antenna topper, tink seat covers, floor mats and steering wheel cover, and tink fuzzy dice.. I also have about 8 tink decals. and i love it!
And my room, filled with anything and every thign disney. I have buzz light year sheets and pillow cases. My tv is the cinderella carriage. I stickers on my walls and quotes from disney movies and songs all over the place.
Right next to my bed i have "a dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep". I have the monorail going around the border of my room.
Also, at christmas time, my familys tree is nothing but disney ornaments, even a mickey mouse tree topper. And my brother, sister, and i all have disney stockings!
I also wear disney shirts to school. I have ones that say zip a dee doo dah and tink and wdw and etc.
As crazy as it is, i carry around the birnbaum book with me every where.

A perk also for me by showing my inner disney is when people at school are going, they always come to ask me what they should and shouldnt do. Sometimes, showing my inner disney is a really good thing because i have gotten so many invites to go to disney with friends and their families!

I really think that when people love disney... it's so much more than just a love, or an obsession. And because disney will never stop expanding, my obsession and love for it will never stop either

I'm not really into Disney's merch, so no I don't show my interest in Disney to really anyone. I've kept my interest in parks and roller coasters to myself my whole life, as most people really don't want to hear about it and I'd rather not waste their time. Plus, I don't think I'm nearly as "into" Disney as most of you are. I've got a teacher right now who is pretty much obsessed, and I won't even tell him because I'm not even close to the level of fanaticism that he shows.

It really makes me mad that the OP gets picked on because of his Disney passion. What on earth is wrong with people sometimes? It's so weird that people can get mean about something that has absolutely nothing to do with them..ie, clothing or music choices, or where you spend your money and your time. Particularily if it's something like Disney...I suppose if you're into "Saw Part 105" that's cool.

You know what? I just realized I sound all crotchety and old. And I don't care. Hang in there baby...one of the best parts about getting older is you truly stop caring about what other people think and can finally just relax and be yourself. It took until I was 30 to realize my inner Disney...and now I shout it from the roof tops. DH was laughing the other day because I had on my Stitch pin and my POTC Disney "coutoure"(sp?) ring (which, since I'm being honest, I pretend is a gift from Captain Jack). Everyone who knows me knows how I feel about Disney. And..it's true what they say. People who give you a hard time do so because they are jealous. Something inside of them wants to be that happy and passionate about something but they are too busy and scared trying to "fit in" and "be normal" to go for it.

Um...that was a bit of a rant...I believe I'll just step down from my soap box now.

Ahem.

I wear a classic Mickey Mouse watch every day. The one where Mickey points to the time. I love it. And it's a great conversation piece!

When I "suit up" its ALWAYS a Disney tie. I usually wear something Disney every day. T-shirt, baseball hat, watch, it doesn't matter but I do keep the pins and such for my trips to the parks. I think it keeps them even more special that I only wear them there. No one has ever commented on my Disney apparel but maybe since I am 6'0" 225lbs people tend to leave the comments to themselves LOL. It would never bother me if some does comment to me because they just get put into the "you just don't get it" category and I move one. My wife, however, did draw the line of me wearing my pirate hat out to a local restaurant this weekend :p.

Edit: In high school one year I was asked "If you could talk to someone famous (not family) who was dead, who would it be?" I said "Walt Disney" and the teacher said "Out of EVERYONE you picked Walt Disney?" I said "he has touched me and my family in more ways then most people could ever understand." She smiled but I knew she didn't get it. I did chime in later in the discussion and said that if you picked Jesus he didn't speak English :p

Thank goodness for WDW ties...

I currently have 34 Disney ties and wear one to work every day... Just because I'm a banker doesn't mean I can't wear my Mickey, Pooh etc.
