Do you know people who don't enjoy Disney World?

Yep. Our neighbors went to WDW last year with their 6 yo. I sat down with them and gave them the spiel. Warned them to expect it to be hot, lots of walking, there will be lines, how to use FP, how to navigate things, what not to miss, etc.

They got back and when I asked them how it went, they didn't like it. Too hot, too much walking, lines, etc. I asked if you went on X.."no". How about this or that...."no". They basically didn't do anything I told them to do to make things go easier. Geez, no wonder you didn't get the most out of it. And to top it off, they sold the last day of their passes to some time share deal for like $40 for the 3 passes, which meant that they didn't even go to AK.

Then the complaints about how much it cost them to go to Universal for the day. I warned them about that too.

Then they told us of how they bought their new I phones while down in Disney. So they spend hours in a phone store while on vacation at WDW?
:hammer:

What I have found that about 90% of the time someone tells me they had a bad time at WDW it is because they simply didn't plan in advance. Another big problem is the expense, which they should have known going in that it was going to be pricey. Anyone is going to have a bad time if they spend their whole vacation worrying about how much it is costing them.

My sister...but, she complains about everything that I think is cool :veryconfu She doesn't understand the WDW draw, but she does absolutely no planning. She likes to fly by the seat of her pants, then complains that she has to wait an hour for a table, wait in hour-long lines, and miss the parades because she can't see over everybody else. Poor planning makes for a rough experience.

And, anyone who says that Universal is the "real park" has never been to Cedar Point. If you want theming, you go to Disney and Universal...if you want thrill rides, you go to Cedar Point (or Kings Dominion...or Kings Island...etc). Personally, I've been to Universal on 3 occasions, and each time I've felt like each park was a one-day experience. I always stay on property so I take advantage of the complimentary Express Pass and early entry for Potter-Land, so I don't waste time waiting in lines. With WDW, I feel like I always see sometime I didn't notice before...with Universal, while neat, it feels more "industrial" and less "homey". Just my opinion...
