If you do , I understand it is just a request, do you usually get a room you want? We are staying at the WL next Friday night for 6 nights. Looking for suggestions for room numbers. We h ave a courtyard view Ressie..
Thanks

While asking for a specific room never does any harm - its can never be promised or guaranteed. Its all down to when the peopke who are in your chosen room vacate it. If they vacate it the morning of your arrival then your in with a good chance. However if their vacation clashes with yours then you're going to lose out

We did 5 days before our trip....and we got EXACTLY what we wanted! I know that can't happen everytime, but it is sure worth trying. We are at the Poly right now and had requested a 3rd floor room in the Tokelau longhouse, and we listed a few room numbers that we wanted. Maybe we just lucked out, but we got exactly what we wanted.

We have faxed our special requests a couple of times now. Once for my son's birthday, and another time for a room location. If you do a fax, you should do it about a week before your check-in time. We read somewhere, that room assignments are done about 5 days ahead of time. If you fax any earlier than that, the fax could get lost. 5-7 days is the preferred fax time. We always arrive on a Saturday, so I fax on the Monday before. Faxing couldn't hurt!

Many of the hotels no longer accept a fax with your room request. Always make all requests when you make your reservations and again when you call to confirm a few days before arrival. Remember that it is just that,a request and may not be fulfilled.

Tigsmom is 100% correct. Faxed requests are no longer accepted at the resorts and most likely wil end up in the circular file!!! Always make your room requests at the initial booking or as soon as possible thereafter. I usually dont specify much, but have never had a problem getting the stuff I have asked for either in advance or at check in. Belle

Hi there, Depending on how you booked would be how you would add on the request. If you booked through Disney directly via phone or online, yes contact them at 1 407 W DISNEYto affect any additions to your reservation. Always have your reservation number handy so that they can recall your reservation easily. If you booked through Kingdom Konsultants, give us a call at 1866-566-7858 and ask to speak with your agent or drop your agent an E mail with your room request information. If you booked through another agency you must contact them to affect any changes. Belle

Yes...call the reservation line and have them add the request to your booking. When you get to the resort you can tell them again what your request was and they will see if they can accommodate you.

I just want to stress that calling the resort phone number does no good. That number is answered by the resort call center that handles all of the front desks as well as other Disney area calls.

They are just going to transfer you to CRO and it may not be the correct department.

If you booked through a travel agent (phone or online) or any website that is not directly Disney (Expedia, Travelocity, etc), you need to contact that person/company to add your requests. It's a pain to try and reach the correct department at CRO if you don't and depending on the cast member, he/she may or may not add the requests to the booking.
