Do you bring camelbacks to the park with you?

We have 11 in our group ( all immediate family) age ranges from 1 to 37. You can buy a water camelback that ranges from anywhere from 2 liters to 40 liters at Walmart. Have you bought one in for your family or big group? What size seemed antiquit or not too heavy? Would one of these hang on the back of a baby stroller or would it be too bulky/weighty...?

I used to carry a camelback in the park, but, I have no problem drinking the ice water that's served free at any resturant.

Yes, it's feezeable to take one, but. Having it stay cold and not freezing it is a challenge. I've cracked a bag or two when I would back pack in Colorado by freezing them. If you can handle the taste of Florida water, the ice water is the way to go...imo

Also, the plastic ones at Wal-Mart are not very sturdy, if you happen to run into another stroller with an exposed bag, it will likely pop. I would do yourself a favor and back pack it.

I think some of the water we have had in Florida has a distinct type of taste to it, can't describe it. Although at WDW even from the water fountains we have tried (not too many) were fine. Now, my aunt's house....no way would I drink that tap water and she doesn't live far 15 - 20 mins. from WDW

I dont notice the difference between my tap and WDW, maybe it's a central Florida thing.

I think it is a central Florida thing. Because my b-in-law lives in Pensacola and he doesn't have that same 'water' issue.

My family has been many times. My girls are almost 13 and 11 now and have been 20 times. When we go, we all bring "camelbaks" or equivilant brand bags. We just bought some new ones at Sams Club last year. they were $20 and hold 50-70ounces of water. My husband has one we bought at Academy Sports and his is 100ounces of water. We refill them at all the parks except MK because there are no counter services that have the freestanding water/soda stations to refill them. We love it, our even have some pockets for phones, pin lanyards, autograph books, ponchos, snacks so everyone carries their own stuff. Easy on and off for rides too. If we are planning on staying in the parks really late, we might rent a locker so after the sun goes down and it cools off we throw them in there for the wee hours.

I carry mine on every trip. It's a small one, but my family of 4 uses it all the time. The backpack part lets me carry stuff like autograph books and other stuff, letting me take some of the load off my wife carrying everything for the kids. The water reservoir typically lasts us through the day, and if it's extra hot, I can just refill from any sink or fountain I can find.

We have toured the world many many many times (Too numerous to count) with all ages ranging from infant to 65 (moi). We have never carried more than a water bottle that we can refill. For me, less is more. Our stroller holds water bottles, and when no baby with us, we just carry bottles for younger ones. With just me and DH we carry none, just stop and get free H2O at any counter service. We are very aware of risks of dehydration, we make it a priority to drink, especially at every potty break. No commando style touring for us! Lol

I've only carried my camelback when I've hiked extended hikes in the wilderness, never considered taking it with me to Disney. I add Mio to the Disney water to give it a better taste so I dont think I'd add it into a camelback. So far my carrying my 3 water bottles in my small backpack into the parks have sufficed.

If you've got multiple people having to drink the water, doesn't a Camelbak become less practical, not to mention unsanitary?
I thought the whole point of these things is that it's a personal hydration system.

This! I don't understand the need to carry an entire days supply of water around on your back when there is free ice water in every corner of the park in every direction.
