Do the WDW hotels provide service for anniversarys?

I'm going to WDW next year and was seeing if anyone knew if the WDW hotels can provide extras for guests how will be celebrating their anniversary? On my last vist I saw many couples wearing badges, do you know how t get them?

Is it just a simple call to the hotel/resort?:shrug:

It depends upon the hotel. They used to provide special treats, until it seemed every guest checking in had a birthday or anniversary.

I'm hesitant to post all that was done for my parent's 50th anniversary trip 20 years ago, as too many people would be upset if they didn't get the same treatment for a lesser anniversary.

I think just mention it upon check-in and you might get some special anniversary pins (as mentioned, might depend on the resort).

I've read stories from those who've worn them to meals they sometimes get a surprise anniversary dessert.

We went on our honeymoon (06') and have gone back for anniversary (08')..Let me see if I can answer:

I would recommend calling Disney reservations if you have not already done so and inform them of your celebration. If you don't you can do this at check in but if you called they would have it in the system...
When you check in and if they don't say anything remind them that you are on your honeymoon/anniversary etc...resorts will have pins you can were during the duration of your stay at the world. WEAR THEM!

We wore ours and throughout both honeymoon and and anniversary and on several occasions had desserts brought to us etc It was dif. worth it. We also had a CM give us a free soda, not sure if that was the norm or not but still it was nice. We also arrived to things 'at home' in the hotel balloons and what not congratulating us and all...

So yes you did get things, and if your cheesy enough you will enjoy it. Believe me it took my husband some breaking into in order to enjoy it and now he loves it. I was told not to ask for 'upgrades' because they usually don't do them, especially when you ask about them.

You can also get them at customer relations in any of the parks. Definitely wear them, if only for the good wishes you will get!

Mention your celebration when you make your reservation. You will get a badge. Or if you don't mention when you make your reservation tell them at check-in. Have a Magical Celebration

our anniversary is at the end of july and we've gone to wdw twice to celebrate (once in 2007 and again in 2009). we were given the pins at our hotel at check in both times (gf and contemporary). the first year we had a cm give us an extra fast pass while we were standing in line for buzz and that was really it for extras that year. this year we were given menus at several resturants that had our name and that it was our 15th anniversary on them, our dessert had extra touches mentioning our anniversary, and when we were walking through epcot past the american pavillion a cm called us over and said we had a phone call and to dial a number and it was a message from mickey mouse wishing us a happy anniversary. it was cute. made the trip a little more special. i know it isn't much but i like the little touches.

We got something similar on our honeymoon in May '09...a CM handed us TSMM fastpasses during evening EMH and we got a phone call from Mickey and Minnie in Germany. Very fun! :sohappy:
As others have said, we noted in our reservations that it was our honeymoon and wore the pins/bride and grooms ears. We didn't get free dessert or anything (we were already on the DDP, so we'd get dessert anyway) but we did get lots of congrats, and we felt special all week.
