Do the parks seem to be competing?

resorts seem to be competing big time.
2 weeks ago we checked into SSR and they CM's and walking around manager
seemed dis interested in interacting with guests.
week later we checked into the beach club, we were greeted by name and
personally escorted to check in. Check in desk was too crowded so he took us over to concerige to check in. Waited with us there to make sure we were all set, When we got our room keys he parted with us.
later that day housekeeping called our room and asked if we had everything we needed and if there was anything they could get for us...

2 Disney resorts. 2 completely differnet environments from cast members...
Obviously the Beach Club seems to be competing to win with service

I just thought that all the parks were supposed to be several individual gates, but everyone seems to think they're all one gate.

No, people see it as one destination (world, if you will) with four separate parks to attend. Not competing with each other, not separately vying for tourist dollars, not bullying people into visiting one park over the other.

Still not sure what you're searching for here, considering your question has been answered over, and over and over again. Here, and in your other thread.....

All of which is quite the leap from this:

"Does it seem like the parks seem to be designed to be "competing" with each other? By that, I mean, do you think that being as how they're designed as separate parks, they seem to be competing like that as well, seeing as how they all charge individual prices and having different, unequal pulls and whatnot?"

Bottom line, last time: they're all one company. All one set of parks, regardless if there is a Little Mermaid show at DHS and a ride coming to MK. Or a Nemo ride in EPCOT and a show at AK.

Again, not really sure what you're looking for here. But bringing up some book or complaining about replicated attractions (which aren't unique to DL and WDW, by the way) doesn't really address your OP. Either way, it's been answered, whether you like the responses you've received or not......

Well, I'm saying that I don't like that the attractions, which, in California, are mostly in Disneyland, are not entirely concentrated in the Magic Kingdom in Florida. It was harmless enough at first, just a few attractions here and there (Star Tours in the Studios and EO in Epcot), but now it seems like it's out of control. A couple of attractions from a non-castle park, the California Adventure, are making their way into a castle park (the Little Mermaid ride and (to a lesser degree) a Goofy-themed roller coaster), while Toontown Fair gets the axe and everyone insists that it would work better in the Studios.

My point is, I'm not fond of having the replicated attractions in other parks, just to have other people go to them. I'm not sure if that's a sign of competing or not, but to me, it just seems like a bit of a tug-of-war of sorts.

Now you're just trolling this thread along. First it was the parks are all competing for visitors, regardless of the fact that one ticket was the same price at any gate, and a park hopper could get you into any of them. Then it was some b#ll#cks about how Disney was "bullying" visitors into staying on site or the like. Now we're onto how it's the placement of attractions? It's apparent all you're trying to do is keep this thread going....

If this has been bothering you that badly & for this long, maybe you need to voice your concerns to the Mouse himself:
