This was the line to get into DCA on 5/27/14. My son is in the front corner in the LA Dodgers cap, and my hubby, daughter and I are right behind him, at the front of that HUGE line!

I just loved how quaint the "horses" were on King Triton's carousel. Seals, whales, and sea horses!

Where was everyone heading? Carsland? How early were y'all there to get to the front of the line?

We (and everyone around us) made a beeline for RSR, but our speed was limited by the rope drop guys walking ahead of us with the rope. I'm sure many people behind us made a beeline for the RSR FP machines instead. We got to the Park entrance at 8:05am for 9am opening, and we were about the 4th family on one of the lines outside the gate. Around 8:35am they started letting people through the turnstyles towards the inner rope by Carthay Circle, and we managed to get ahead of the crowds to the front of the rope. At 9am sharp they started walking us quickly to RSR (and letting others proceed elsewhere at their own pace).

I'd be absolutely terrified to go on Splash alone.
