I find this to be one of the most visually appealing spots in the park (including the teacups with the lanterns) I also have an affinity for Alice in Winderland though.

On a completely different note, has anyone been to /seen Paris Disneylands Fantasyland? I saw it for the first time on YouTube the other day and wow! Is it well done. I always hear very negative reviews on Disneyland Paris. The only positive I ever hear is that it may be the most beautiful park. If the rest of the park looks like Fantasyland I would have to agree.
It seems to have Disneylands charm but less cramped.

Yes, and it's fabulous. The whole park is.

DL & DCA are the only Disney parks I have visited (countless times) and im planning a trip to WDW in the next couple years but now I'm like Orlando and knock out 4 parks or Paris and knock out 2? But with Paris Disneyland you're in ... Paris :) (never been there either). With that said, I've heard the studio park in Paris is hands down the worst Disney park in the world. So it's more like one park to really look forward to.

What year did you go and did you visit the Studio park?

It's been a while. Ive been to DLP a few times. When I was there last I was able to visit the Studio park and it was a massive disappointment. Granted TOT was under construction and Toy Story Playland, Ratatouille, and the toon stuff hadn't been built yet.

The MK at DLP is simply astonishing and arguably the best of the lot, although SDL looks pretty good. Sadly maintenance has been terrible since opening - I literally saw mildew growing on the castle on my last trip. Though my understanding is that it's improved over the past few years.

Hoping to see Les Villages de Nature the next time I visit. I'm very intrigued by this project:

Wow looks cool. I've read that they re trying to turn things around for their 25th(?) anniversary.

They got rid of the mildew?! Isn't that what gives Disneyland all of those old musty nostalgic smells?

So in hindsight would do WDW or Paris Disneyland if you had never been to either? I'm aware that the Paris trip will be more costly and I'd have to save a few more pennies. And it is Hard to pass up on knocking out 4 parks in one visit too

Not sure, but I'd never actually seen mold/mildew growing on a Disney building before, much less a park's centerpiece. There was so much of it that it was visible from the Hub. Ew.

If you're looking to go in the next year I'd do WDW. It has an incredible amount of Disney history and was the follow up to Disneyland. Save DLP for another day when you have time and money to explore Europe.

Yep, it is my favorite spot in either parks at night (though Cars Land is right up there), absolutely beautiful with the lanterns from the teacups.

How much time do you have to devote for the trip? The thing that WDW has going for it is there is so much more there than just the parks that it takes some time to do a significant amount of it. If your time is limited or you are just interested in the parks WDW can be very frustrating, given how getting to each park can be time consuming and can require a good bit of waiting for transportation, particularly if you are used to the convenience of DL.

Ya definitely don't want to see the mildew Haha

And yea those are the key words I suppose.." money to explore." It's one thing to get over there and stay at the resort. But being in Paris it would make sense to see some of the rest of France and visit some fam in Sicily. And that becomes a whole $$$ different $$$ kind $$$ of trip.

This trip is still a 2-3 years out. I'm waiting for my 1year old to get a little older. I'm only in the planning (fantasizing) stage. I'm pretty much just interested in the 4 parks but cinsidering what I've read, I would definitely book at least a week at the resort somewhere during off season.

But any day now I'm going to say heck with the kid and just go with my wife. Lol

Yea Cars land at night is great too. They were doing a photo spot in front of the Tea Cups a while back but the photo didn't do it any justice.

I agree. On a first trip I wouldn't go for less than 5 days - and that's just for WDW. You'll need more to do Universal or take in other central Florida attractions.
