Disneyland Hotel was really nice, they’re adding another whole building and there was construction but it didn’t bother us at all. I will say that I wish there were balconies available as we love sitting outside, but it’s just not that kind of hotel. The day we checked in, we had lunch at Tortilla Joe‘s in DTD and it was really good.

The next day we went to Disneyland. It was so much fun. It was within walking distance from the hotel and it was nice to have everything all in the vicinity of the hotel.

We got to ride the trolley bus up Main Street which was a first for us.

We had to ride Haunted Mansion. It’s my husbands favorite. I like it too! It’s pretty much exactly like the one in DW.

We ate some of Tiana‘s beignets! Yum. They were the perfect little things!

The next day we went to California Adventure. I like this park better for many reasons, including that they offer adult beverages as opposed to DL Park.

We did Monsters Inc ride first. It was really cute.

We then did Soarin’ which was no different than Epcot, which means we ultimately enjoyed it, as usual.

We then walked through Cars Land, which was super cute. I liked that land. We’re not Cars maniacs, but we liked it just the same. Unfortunately the Cars ride where you ride through the desert was closed most of the day, so we didn’t do that.

We then made our way over to Paradise Pier. I absolutely loved this part of the day. The weather was lovely and we rode almost everything as we made our way around the water. I was really wowed by how pretty it was. I don’t think I was aware at how big that part of the park was going to be.
My husband and my oldest rode the Incredicoaster. It was her first upside down roller coaster. The wait was only 15 minutes and she loved it.

We rode Jessie’s Round Up next and it was really fun.

Then we rode Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind. It was spinnier than it looked, but still enjoyable.

The Kids and hubby did the swings next and then we made our way to Journey Under the Sea with Ariel. It was pretty identical to the MK one.

We then took some pics and got some adult beverages. That was nice. We took a little break and people watched for about 20 mins.

We then had lunch at Wine Country Trattoria and it was lovely and the food was delicious. After lunch, we left and went swimming back at the pool. I ordered a coffee half regular, half decaf and I’m almost certain the woman (who didn’t seem to be having a good day) brought ,e full caffeine coffee. I specifically drink half and half because I get anxious when I have too much caffeine… I didn’t feel good for hours after that coffee and I was upset. Next time I’ll just drink a soda so I know what I’m getting myself into.
We did go back to CA at night and it was really enjoyable. Better than the evening at DL. The weather was awesome and we wound up starting with Mickey’s Philarmagic. It was so good, just like in MK. Most of the rides were super similar to DW.

The last pic I have of that night was this one. We spent our evening mostly in Cars Land and rode Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree & Luigi’s Rolickin‘ Roadsters. We also ate ice cream and they had a dance and sing along in the “street” there too. It was super cute and the kids loved it. We stayed there late enough to see all the neon lights in Cars Land light up. It was pretty neat.

That’s a wrap on DL. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I love WDW wayyyy more, but I really enjoyed our time in DL. It’ll be a while before we back though.

We got back on Saturday night. In less than a week we head to Florida. I have lots to say about our WDW trip and can’t wait to share more with you. 😊

Okay now that our jet lag is over from our Cali trip, we can prepare for our Disney World trip. We decided to drive because we knew we were staying off site and would need a rental car and let’s be honest, we spent a lot of money already on Disney trips in August… we needed to save some money somewhere, so driving it was. The ride down was supposed to be straight through the night, but we got tired and spent the night somewhere in North Carolina. When we woke up we still had 10 hours to go. We we’re thankful that we took the break and stayed somewhere. We needed the break.
