DL Captain EO Ready to Leave is WDW Next?

I'd rather they change EO to a Dreamfinder 4D show, but that probably would never happen.

Also I have no clue who Phineas and Ferb is... I'm not even sure if I'm too young or too old to have missed whatever it is. :lookaroun

You're too young. :ROFLOL:
Just kidding. I know many people who don't watch the show or know it.

Phineas and Ferb is hit TV show on Disney Channel.

I'm sure people said the same about Sponge Bob.

But, you do realize that the creators of Phineas & Ferb worked on Spongebob....

Little side fact for people who do not know.. Dan Povenmier directed the Family Guy Episodes of Stewie & Brian's "Road To" Episodes, And Patriot Games where Peter sings "Shapoopi"

And Jeff "Swampy" Marsh worked on Rocko's Modern Life.

No need to apologize, your complaints on The Seas with Nemo and Friends are comparable to my complaints about The Submarine Voyage. Neither attraction is particular exciting, but the benefit of The Seas with Nemo and Friends is a substantially shorter wait. Admittedly, the Submarine Voyage is better but that's largely because it's longer and a more unique ride system.

As for The Seas with Nemo and Friends vs. Journey Into Imagination with Figment - It's hard for me (and presumably others) to look at Journey Into Imagination with anything but a bias because of what it replaced. While the Seacabs had their fans, (I'm wearing my Mickey's of Glendale Seas Pavilion t-shirt right now)they aren't as numerous or as vocal as the Imagination fans.

OK, wasn't gonna comment on this thread ... but as for your point above, what did you think of Disney (at the Expo) making shirts and pins etc for EACH/EVERY EPCOT pavilion and Carsland attraction/restaurant/shop instead of making a handful of nice pieces that showcased it all?

My take (not that anyone asked, but this is a discussion board) is they did it to ring up ridiculous tabs by OCD fanbois who wouldn't/couldn't possibly buy a Seas tee without buying a SSE one ... and an Imagination one ... and a Horizons one etc.

Disney knows its fanbase ...

You can go that rapacious route or the Disney knows people want specificity over homogenization route. We (fanbois too) want merchandise to the exact minutiae. They could make a "Symbiosis" t-shirt and I would buy one in a heart beat. This goes along with the whole "Disney Parks" moniker as well. We want specific merch that lets us express our personal favorites. That's either being in tune with the consumer or exploiting them, or both. Either way, I dig it.

I'm a sucker for anything with a classic Epcot logo on it - I was upset that they didn't have any of the logo t-shirts left with the Epcot Center logo, Horizons Logo, or Imagination Logo when I purchased them. I also missed out on the pins but bought them later online. It should also be noted I bought The Seas t-shirt largely because they ran out of shirts for Imagination and Horizons.

The thing is, this was in the Mickey's of Glendale shop and the shirts were only $14 each. If it were a true money grab for the fanboy, they easily could have sold these for $20 or $25 a piece.

Glad to see someone else throw out some love to the great Dan and Swampy. As a P&F fan and have been saying for a long time they deserve a bigger role in the parks I don't think that Epcot is that place. That's figment's stomping ground, and I would be sad to see it go. It's just like the other day when I was at The Seas with Nemo and on my way out I thought about the hydrolators. But I wouldn't mind seeing a 4D show replacing Sounds Dangerious.

I don't mind Captain EO going at Disneyland, as I don't visit there so often, but I would be devastated if it was removed from WDW. It's so much better than HISTA and so much better than whatever they'd replace it with (I'm just guessing...) I am a massive MJ fan though, so I'm pretty biased, but I think it's nice having a few blast-from-the-past attractions in the parks, especially in a park dedicated to showcasing conceptions of the future...

the movie should feature Phineas & Ferb using their imagination...

I really hope they stay away from Disney TV shows. They have plenty of great movies that are under represented in the parks.

I know a lot of hard core Disney fans like Phineas and Ferb, but I know many regular visitors to the parks do not have kids and have never seen the show (myself included.)

I don't know if this would be the right fit for Imagination, but I would love to see Wall-E represented somewhere in Future World!:sohappy:

Just my 2 cents:wave:

Actaully, you'd be surprised how many non-Disney fans I run into everytime I wear my Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc. shirt. As a huge fan of animation (yes, I'm a 24 year old college student) I dare say P&F is better than half of the non kid shows on tv. It's a very smart show with a lot of adult type jokes, it's like if Pixar created a tv series. I see you've never watched the show before so I would highly recommend that you check it out if you get the chance:wave:

You're kidding right!?! If they put in old Mickey cartoons it would be better than EO! But I'm NOT a massive MJ fan, though so I'm pretty biased!

I just hope they put in something, anything,... just no more Captain EO! :hurl:

I have no doubt that the show is entertaining, but I think Disney movies are just more universally well known.

Of course if an attraction is done well enough, it will appeal to everyone, even those who are not fans of the property that the attraction is based on.
