They also had an Elmo... Dirty Elmo... my son ran from him! It creeped us out the way kids would hug there nasty dirty costumes... then they would stick out there dirty paws until they gave them a couple bucks.. creepy!!!

I have a relative who ran into one of the costumed wackos with her daughter on a trip to NYC. As the saying goes, it takes all kinds.

In New York we call them Mickey and Minnie Rat... and they are NOT from the HAPPIEST Place on earth....

They're not guests. It's from the early years of Disneyland. The posters used to be out front along the railing in front of the floral Mickey. You can see the poster for the Art Corner in Tomorrowland and part of the poster for Tom Sawyer Island, which was probably rather new. Further in the background you can see the fright train complete with people sanding in the cattle car.
