Distance to Monorail

It all depends on where you are put in the garden wing. If your room is right next to the tower it will be around 300-400 feet. If you are at the farthest room it could climb up to about 1200-1300 feet.

We stayed in the Garden Wing where the DVC "Bay Tower" now rises. It was really a short walk to the main building and monorail. (Just remember you'll have to go upstairs to the 4th level....)

IMHO- to go to the MK it might even be faster to walk than to catch the monorail and wait through all the stops.

Indeed. The resort monorail runs clockwise, so it goes from the MK to the Contemporary, THEN to the Poly & GF (plus the TTC, though I forget if that's in-between the Contemp and Poly, or the Poly and GF) before going back to MK. If you're able to walk to MK, you'll be better off.

TTC between Contemp and Poly

In other words, 3 stops before arriving at MK station.

We've got a Garden room this time, and I was planning on using the boat to the MK. Figured that would be faster than sitting thru all the stops.

We have a garden romm booked too.............perhaps we'll be neighbours. I didn't think the baot went to MK from CR, bonus if it does as hubby loves the boat. :xmas:

Sorry, folks! No boat to the MK. The boat runs a triangle between WL, FW, and Contemporary. The MK options are monorail or walking.

I believe they changed it. Now you have dedicated WL and FW boats. I believe there is a WL-FW boat too. It was all different when I was there (breifly) the end of Sept.

We stayed at the Villas at WL the last week of September and the boat ran the triangle from WL, FW and CR. There were dedicated MK boats from WL and FW, but none from CR to MK.

Only take the loop to the other resorts if you want to catch a climpse of the other resorts, otherwise the walk is alot faster. we had breakfast at Chef Mickeys and got to MK in less than 10 minutes, where as the loop on average will take about 20 to 30 min with delays.
