Disney's Streaming Services: Disney+ (and Hulu, ESPN+, Star, & hotstar)

Yeah, but 'launching globally' could mean they have launches all around the world with regional content playing to each region, not necessarily all that regional content streamed globally.

If that regional content was going worldwide, I would think Disney would be more explicit about that.

We'll see when Disney+ Day arrives.
Yeah, the wording is very weird, they also keep repeating themselves later in the article with "We look forward to collaborating with award-winning and emerging creative talent in Asia Pacific and sharing authentic stories that reflect the unique cultural and social dynamics from this region to global audiences."
I don't know, maybe they'll go to Hulu or Star+, or even create a brand new streming service, you never know what to excpect from Disney when it comes to their confused international distribution strategy.

Finally - First Class! I've been wanting to do an X-Men marathon so I can finally get to Dark Phoenix, but I wanted to do it in proper order. Is that all of them now on Disney+? (Other than Logan presumably.)

It could be a rights issue based on territories for Evolution and the Wolverine one.
Seems like they're showing up in the US version of Disney+

Also so is The Story of Robin Hood when you search Xmen; was unaware he was an xman, but glad Disney+ cleared that up!

Of course Robin Hood's an X-Man! His mutant power is not being able to do a British accent!

Also cool, I didn't have access to Disney Plus at the time so I was just spitballing.

I'm more concerned that Disney named the movie "The Story of Robin Hood," in case... why? Someone thought it wasn't a story but a documentary or an interpretive dance based on Robin Hood?

In general, a movie doesn't have to tell you that it's "a story" since it's "a movie" which is almost always "a story."

Probably just to distinguish the movie name from any of the myriad of other "Robin Hood" films out there.

"Emerging young actress Lisette Alexis (Total Eclipse) has landed the lead in Disney+’s National Treasure TV series from Disney Branded Television and ABC Signature.

The project, executive produced by the films’ producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Jon Turteltaub and writers Marianne and Cormac Wibberley, is an expansion of the National Treasure movie franchise told from the point of view of a young heroine (Alexis) — a DREAMer in search of answers about her family–who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about the past and save a lost Pan-American treasure.

The series, whose pilot episode is written by the Wibberleys and will be directed by Mira Nair, centers on Jess (Alexis), a Latina whose brilliant and resourceful mind loves a good mystery, and she has a natural talent for solving puzzles. Over the course of the show, Jess will uncover her own buried history, as well as the truth about her parents and her connection to a long-lost treasure.

In the TV extension of the National Treasure franchise, Jess is taking the proverbial torch from Benjamin Gates, the National Treasure films’ protagonist played by Nicolas Cage."

Looks like Disney+ released the first glimpse of new Korean Drama "Snowdrop", starting Jisoo Blackpink and Jung Hae-In, contained with their interview (The original interview is in Korean, so you must understand how they say in English)

I would like to see how the drama will avaliable at US Disney+ app considering the drama will streamed at Disney+ in selected markets mainly Asia.

"Gael Garcia Bernal is set to star in the Marvel Studios Halloween special currently in the works at Disney Plus, Variety has confirmed with sources.

Plot details for the untitled special are being kept under wraps, but sources say that Bernal could be playing a character based on the Marvel character Werewolf by Night. Two different characters have shared that moniker, specifically Jack Russell and Jake Gomez. Both were capable of transforming into a werewolf at will while retaining their human intellects. The special would begin production in early 2022."
