I just saw a pop up ad on Facebook saying Dark Phoenix was now streaming on Disney+. Interesting.

Saw this on reddit. Dark Phoenix isn't showing up for me but the reddit post said it was for AU/NZ. Weird.

Deadline just wrapped up their most valuable box office tournament. Which is worth a gander.

It does provide a more interesting measurement of what the movies performance ultimately meant for the studio. Aladdin actually made more than Rise of Skywalker (not surprising why Aladdin is getting a sequel).

Lion King and Frozen II both made MORE for Disney than 2018's Infinity War. I think there were varying narratives that neither did well enough, but it's hard to say movies that outperformed Infinity War on the metric that actually matters most would be seen as anything but out and out successes.

It makes no sense for Dark Phoenix to be available in HDR10 while Onward is available in Dolby Vision. I’d be skeptical if these images came from the same source (phone/tablet/streaming device).

EDIT: Based on the rating system being different, I assume it’s real and pulled from 2 different sources, and the latter person’s device is only capable of HDR10.

I was wondering what everyone's take on Be Our Chef was so far? I am a Food Channel fanatic and love the cooking challenge shows so this really seemed up my alley with the Disney theme and everything. I am slowly getting into it and will continue to watch. I do like how it gets the entire family involved in the making of the food.

I watched it. It is cute show and nice addition to the lineup of shows they already have

It's fine. My daughter loves it. She loves the themes, seeing the kids cook, and LOVES seeing the guest chefs and going "Oh I love that place" when they talk about what they do/where they work. I'm not huge into it, but I do like it's something different from everything else on Disney+, and I like that it is a twist on the cooking shows by having whole families involved.

Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - Official Disney Plus Trailer

The final chapter of the Skywalker saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, will begin streaming two months early on Disney+ in honor of "May the 4th," affectionately known by fans around the world as "Star Wars Day." For the first time ever, fans will be able to stream the complete Skywalker saga all in one place. What began in 1977 with George Lucas' groundbreaking film Star Wars: A New Hope, the nine-part saga is available within Disney+'s extensive collection of Star Wars movies and series including The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker joins Disney+'s May the 4th line-up including the premiere of the eight-episode documentary series Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, and the series finale of the award-winning animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

What happened?
Disney pulled most of the Fox movies from second run theaters including Princess Bride. This was last year, I heard some returned after the initial order from Disney such as Rocky Horror.

So I assume Disney pulled them and then just renegotiated with the theaters and some couldn't afford the fees. Not sure, but that is just my guess.
